Team Hatton has set a lunchtime Press Conference today to announce that they have walked away from the Manny Pacquiao superfight. Hatton will now target a record outdoor event in the UK in June for his British fans.

Arum stated that Pacquiao will return to receiving $2-3million per fight since the Hatton fight fell through. Maybe now we can see Pac and Valero go at it in the summer.

Wouldn't blame him if he does....shame cos it would be a great fight.

But i'm not that upset....Hatton at Wembley or Croke Park will be epic....80,000-100,000 against JMM/Diaz would do nicely

if pac isnt fighting the winner of jmm-diaz or pbf himself, i'd be seriously pissed at him. this was his chance to make a lot of money while having the chance to rise a few spots up the ATG rankings and he freaking blew it.

the hatton camp was so inflexible in this whole "open" negotiation process. but i do blame arum for this. arum weakened pac's bargaining position for this fight by immediately and unilaterally agreeing to that 50/50 verbal deal w/ the gbp/hatton team. he then made this 50/50 deal public to bully and coerce pac into signing it. but pac didn't and now pac's the bad, greedy guy in the eyes of the boxing media and fans as a result. pac should now bolt out of top rank because of this. he is better off promoting himself w/o ppl like arum stabbing him on the back.

i could not disagree with you more. this was the biggest fight for both guys. pac should have taken 52-48. could you tell me who pac will fight that could earn him more money than what he could have gotten in the 52% share with hatton?

if pac cared about us fans like he said he does, he should have taken this fight for us. pac's a rich guy. he'll never go hungry ever. but he decided to think of the dollars instead of thinking what a great match he could have had with hatton, for all his loyal fans. i'm pissed. **** this ****

you think hatton will give jmm a better deal especially if their fight is in UK. hatton will again say that he is the one who brings money to the table while jmm definitely doesn't. jmm will get probably 25-30% at most for this fight.

I fully blame Pac. He should have never backed out of the 50/50 deal. But fine, he was given the 52/48 deal, he shouldn't have backed out of that either.

    Pac is a horrible negotiater.

Now he's going to make 2 mil a fight (which is a hell of a lot) instead of 10-15 million.

Have you heard of the tale of the Dog that saw his reflection in the water. That's Pac.
