I actually heard Marquez vs Casa was substantially less than 100K. I don't have a link because it was several months ago, but I do remember hearing 100K was an optomisitic number a few weeks after the fight. But remember folks, those were ALL Mexican buys!!!!! Get real.

Agreed to a point, but take the main organisation, UFC. They are great at match-making, they always make the best matches as soon as they are available.
For that reason they get my respect and i understand that boxing has more politics but at the end of the day, the bottom line is that the best matches aren't always being made in boxing. And thats bad for the sport..........very bad!

Pac needs to get his head tested, this is a superfight a fight that will make millions, there is not reason he needed to be a diva. He even got an offer better than 50%. I just fail to understand his thinking.

I have to say it as well.

Pacquiao came out looking like an idiot and went down a few notches.

50-50 was perfectly fine when he is fighting a popular linear champion who brings most of the money to the table. Pacquiao blew it big time.

    Bring on Hatton vs JMM/JD!!!!!!!

Absolutely, this is great news for the JMM/Diaz winner.

Btw, if Pac thinks he's such a draw in the US......why not compromise and have him take the better end of a 60/40 split in the US, while Hatton gets the better end of a 60/40 split in the UK........

I got a strong inkling that Hatton would agree to and accept that.
Hatton probably ends up making more money than Pac if it goes that route!:yep

This is how I would break it down in terms of PPV's

A Pac-Hatton fight in the US would sell about 600K PPV's
.......and likely just over 1 mil in the UK

A Hatton-JMM fight in the states likely does just below 500K
......and likel just under 1mil in the UK

A Pac-Hatton fight would sell a few more PPV's both in the US and UK.....but not enough to compensate for Hatton accepting a 60/40 split to fight Pac........

.....at the end of the day Hatton would probably end up making slightly more fighting JMM, because he'd likely get the better end of a 60/40 split if not slightly better.

Either way, its all roses for JMM, cause he'd be making almost double to triple of what he'd make fighting Pac.

i highly doubt that. a fight against each other is the big money fight for hatton and pac not involving pbf and/or dlh. the biggest winner in this scenario is jmm. he does not have to run after pac anymore, and if he beats hatton and pac beats a bum, then jmm could demand an equal purse with pac if they should fight a third time

if hatton knew he would get more money fighting jmm, then hatton would have made a move to fight jmm and not pac.

jmm will never get an equal purse w/ pac no matter what happens. jmm is not even a PPV draw and he lost to pac in their 2nd fight. jmm will probably get a bigger purse than in the 2nd fight and that's it. same senario for hatton-jmm here. jmm not being a PPV draw will get a guaranteed purse and that's it. jmm will probably get around US$2.5-3M in either a hatton or pac fight. not bad considering that he only got 650k for the barrera fight and around 1.75M for the second pac fight.

and it's absurd to think that hatton will get a bigger purse fighting jmm or anybody else other than pac. the biggest possible purse both pac and hatton could've gotten is fighting each other. mayweather will bleed hatton dry on a rematch while dlh will probably give hatton around 35-40% split and the PPV will not be large given dlh's very bad loss to pac. is hatton even willing to go up to 154 for dlh? what hatton really missed out on this aborted the pac fight (other than the money) was the chance to beat a certified p4p #1/ATG and finally elevate his legacy to the level of an ATG of this sport.

It its not an equal purse, its certainly would be close.......

Whats got to be taken into account here is that if Hatton fights Pac, he'd be taking 40% of the pot......

.....if he fights JMM, Hatton likely takes 60+%of the purse.

The total purse would be less for a JMM-Hatton fight, but Hatton taking a much bigger percentage of it, compensates to where Hatton's take home would be pretty comparable to would he would make taking 40% of a Pac purse.
