From a training prospective, this is an easier fight for Wlad. Wlad will do what he has been doing as of late by bringing in fast middle weights to spar with. This has helped Wlad build a lot more speed and accuracy in the ring. He doesn't have to work on the power since that is something that he has always had. Haye on the other hand has to find tall sparring partners that will emulate Wlads style. That's simply not going to happen. Everyone that fights Wlad calls on Jameel McCline or some other similar boxer to spar with. This is great if you are fighting a tall and slow boxer, but Wlad is tall, fast, powerful, skilled, defensive when he needs to be, and offensive when he wants to be. Basically, nobody can copy Wlad. So Haye better train to get in and out quick and he better train to keep his hands up, because if he stands within Wlads range with his hands down, he's going down.

He is, which is why he's fighting him. Gomez is a good fighter and deserves a title shot, but doesn't draw crowds and probably wouldn't have gotten his shot now if he wasn't the mandatory.

Haye has a better chance at beating Wladimir anyways, that's the fight he should go for, that right hand could cause probems. But this year I think we'll see Haye get lit up by a Klitschko.

No way does Wlad get in the ring with Haye, he will fight Arreola instead then Martin rogan or someone

Wlad's chin??? He's not the one getting knocked down by old cruisers and supermiddles. He's gonna bounce this overrated hype job off the canvas like a basketball.

I am glad Team Wlad got over their cold feet. This is a good fight for their guy. He is going to have to be aggressive and that is what has been missing from the champion for a while. IMO Wlad needs to take a page form Lewis book and dispatch this dangerous guy fast. Using his jab to back him up and throwing the right early and often. If Wlad tries to out box this guy he is going to get hurt. Haye is too fast for Klitcho to get out of the way and going stright back like Wlad loves to do when pressured make things easy for the smaller man.

I think some are underestimating Wlads speed and precision. It seems that every boxer he has fought recently has also made the same mistake. Wlad is incredibly accurate with both hands and will not be an easy target to hit. Ibragimov, Brock, Byrd and Brewster all said after fighting Wlad that they were surprised by his speed. Mr. Haye thinks that Wlad is a plodder with limited movement. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

I don't think anyone is underestimating Wladimir's speed and precision. Rather, I think you and some others are underestimating Haye's speed, skills, and ability to get to Wladimir compared to the fighters you listed.

Ibragimov, Byrd :rofl, Brock, and Brewster do not possess the group of attributes that David Haye brings to the contest. If he gets off first, how will Wlad handle it? If he gets tagged first how will he handle it? These are the questions in this fight worth finding out about as far as both fighters go.

No one is showing up to stand in front of him and eat shots this time. Haye is going to look to hurt Wladimir in a way that we haven't seen from any of his opponents.

I think this could be good for Wlad because Haye going to take the fight to him big style and if Wlad steps up his game it could be an important performance

I believe it could go either way.....but I see it going Davids way IMO

I like this as I´ve always said Arreola is not worthy of getting to fight Wlad. Haye vs Wlad is a good fight and Gomez deserves a shot.

Well, looks like I'm a Haye fan, at least for now. I'd root for Dick Cheney if he got a shot at one of those Ukranian Paper Champions. African Proverb......."De enemy of my enemy is my ally"

Iggy brought a history of attacking the body and a ko punch; Byrd brought quickness, skill and a granite chin; Brewster brought power, a granite chin and willpower to spare; Brock brought youth, speed and ko power. Not a single one of these men stood in front of Wladimir of gave him a stationary target. In fact, they started to run after feeling Wlads jab and only lasted because they continued to run. And even then, three of the four mentioned got ko'd while running away. If Haye is actually dumb enough to attack Wlad, this fight ends in less than one round with a very quick KO win for Klitschko.
