This content is protected I was just watching some tidbits off of youtube today and I came across this one from the classic Bennie Briscoe v Tony Mundine bout from '74. Although I knew the results - indeed, jumped for joy back in '74 when BB won, big fan - what is something I never noticed in my elation from years past was the referee's count. Tony was a bit of a favorite in Paris, but that ref's partiality looked felt palpable. He could've given dictation between counts. I played it back a couple of times and off of my watch (not starting until I positively saw the ref's hand count 'one') Mundine was down for like 16 seconds. My God. Any other ridiculous long-counts anyone can think of?
