Now thinking he's a twot of the highest order: Look at this rubbish: This content is protected What used to be nice competitive psychological mind games with some crass humour and all round great entertainment was a breath of fresh air as the contender coming up, a new king of the division, he's now looking like a sad clown at the top of the division, the attention seeking is beyond embarrassing, he's boring and annoying nowadays as a personality. However he is the heavyweight number one and has become a bit of a destroyer of late, which is only redeeming quality right now. So he should be looking to run through delboy like a freight train, a demolition job that shouldn't last more than 5 rounds, if it goes the distance and Chisora is not badly beaten, if Fury goes back to tippy tappy boxer mover southpaw bollocks, it shows us what we all know anyway that this fixed match up is between two long time buddies, pantomime season has come early, and Fury has conned the public with his bull**** again.
I have no issue with the carnival barking. Plenty of truth in there, besides. Hearn/Oluwafemi didn't want any smoke. My chagrin concerns the cynical and lazy approach to selecting a fallback opponent. Fury did say years ago that he'd give Chisora a third fight for the championship, but I didn't expect him to honor that statement while there was other stuff to be done (maybe as a farewell bout if Del was still around after he'd cleaned up the meaningful opposition). Didn't begrudge Chisora the decision over Pulev at the time, but I've got to wish he hadn't gotten it now...
Prime Fury with new aggressive Kronk style has to DEstroy Chisora in 5 rounds or Im done with the man. If it turns into a jabby showboating bollocks performance, I wash my hands with him. He's become a repetitive transparent liar outside the ring with a total lack of humility, so he will need to make it up inside the ring. Chisora shouldn't be anywhere near a world title fight, And Fury shouldn't be doing whatever he wants. I don't want a sharing of five guy burgers after the fight, it's a ****ing love in man. Ffs **** the pair of the jokers. We have hungry upcoming talent coming through right now.
As stated in a prior thread, I fully expect a professional, businesslike showing from Fury; You'll be getting the post-fight Five Guys ritual or some similar show of camaraderie, though, like it or not. While this particular fight smells and should be objected to by hardcore boxing fans, I don't think Fury has changed a lick fundamentally. It's up to you how you want to respond to his theatrics, but I'm unmoved and won't be turning coat over some ballyhoo at a presser. The "upcoming talent" will have their time. The top boys are settling up their legacies for now. Fury-Usyk is coming in 2023.
I actually think Fury fears the new breed in a way the SHWs coming through, I don't think he will be the one passing the torch unfortunately. If he fought anyone else in the top 20 Id give Fury props, just because Chisora is convenient you shouldn't be fighting him, that's selling the boxing fans short, a money spinner between two mates, an exhibition. I can't condone that shite. If you aren't a casual, you shouldn't be supporting this fight. Now his antics are not sellable are they, when he was the up and comer he was believable you were following the dream with him, and us Fury fans were completely behind him all the way. Now he's topdog after saying 'ridding the people of the boring Klitchko era'. He's not fighting mandatories, he's not defending his titles at all, he's retiring then coming back so he's fully ****ing up the division and not in a good way. All wait hand and foot for Tyson Fury, he's just a big annoying ***** at this stage. So basically now I'm revved up, and only Boxing ultra violence will calm that down, He needs to break Chisoras face in bits, it might do delboy a favour aswell, so he doesn't get serious CTE later on. Because right now the division is stagnant and he's the main cause of it.
Chisora deserves a Baptism II type beat down for the disrespect he showed Fury and especially senior citizen OG Big Frank there. Ungrateful swine has just been gifted a once in a lifetime opportunity in the twilight of his career and this is how he repays them? FTW?! Fury showed him due respect and then he just started running his mouth about the completely irrelevant AJ?! The only reason Chisora's ass is parked in that chair is because AJ doesn't possess the minerals to fight The Gypsy King. I'm actually super amped for this fight now and I hope Fury beats Chisora like a dog for his discourtesy
The only problem I have with this is giving Chisora another undeserved payday but if Fury demolishes him inside 4 rounds then it will be a good watch. If Chisora is a minimal risk tick-over before Usyk in February or March then I don't see how it's worthy of criticism: Fury will have fought 3 times in 14 months and then 4 times in 16/17 months, which by current standards is extremely active, plus delivered undisputed. Fury can't go from fighting Chisora in December to say, Charr or Kabayel next time he's out without a massive and fully deserved backlash.
I don't think he gives a damn. He's not obligated to keep going indefinitely and fend off every next guy around or up-and-comer, anyway. If he boxes Usyk, Joyce and maybe Joshua (if there's any juice left in that bout), I'll be satisfied, he can call it a day right there for me with a Top 10 ATG HW berth assured. History would look upon him very fondly with that body of work. I don't condone Chisora III in 2022, but I'm not with you on all that other jazz. There's no fundamental change in him, this period of his career is just another chapter in the prophecy, he can never go back to 2011. We know what happened from 2016 to 2018—it'd be odd to hold that mess of circumstance against him now if you didn't hold it against him previously. And he just fought a mandatory. Regardless, a million banal mandatories (à la Leapai, Pulev) aren't what I demand of him. It's the heads of Usyk, Joyce and Oluwafemi I expect him to pursue, and that body of work plus dethroning Klit and annihilating Wilder would utterly crap on a consistent but stodgy run like Waldo's. If you want off, man, just jump off.
Chisora is a big time scumbag, and even though this fight is a joke I'll enjoy seeing him beaten down again. I'm sure the usual cucks will be rooting for him though. They think he's a good guy for his cheeseburger and selfies w/opponent after the fight routine.
Big Frank has secured both of his world title fights for him. The only two title shots during his 15 year career and he openly disrespects an OG of the game and a senior citizen like that in public?! I'm absolutely fuming right now. It would've been on between us right then and there had I been in attendance.
I'm already off. I wouldn't mind seeing Uysk beat Fury, but I'd support Fury over the rest. I'm already eagerly waiting the next generation of SHW's, Fury has ****ed around for too long. Mandatories are good when you are forced to fight a top fighter, rather than just fake retiring. Heavyweights are judged differently than other divisions, you have to be seen as the top man all the time and everything, that's why it's the Kingpins divisions and all the riches are there. Klitchkos dominance was boring because he was a safety first fighter but he retired on a great fight and his domination was undisputed. Fury beating Uysk will be great, and then another Hungry beast coming through would be even better, AJ is a gunshy, scares and broken man now, the fights hype has gone in my opinion, it's passed. Uysk then Joyce. Two great wins, top 10 heavyweight congrats!
We are agreed. I only threw Oluwafemi in there for era completism, and because it's inevitable that Hearn would eventually cash his pet out if they can gingerly rebuild him for a period.
