Byrd was also on a 4 stoppage streak after the Ibeabuchi loss leading up to his fight with Vitali but for some reason people just didn't seem to care much about him or his chances coming in. He's always been unfairly criticized and the HBO team didn't hesitate to express their displeasure towards him, especially Merchant. Stopping an unbeaten Vitali, despite how it ended, is still very impressive.

Speaking of Ibeabuchi how great of a fight would that fight have turned out between him and Vitali Klitschko? Another missed opportunity.

Is Zuri Lawrece the opposite of this streak? 24 wins and 44 total fights without a KO.

I wonder what Olivares' longest streak was? The man had a ridiculous record before his first loss, with absolute elite opposition to boot.

Started his career with a 24 knockout streak, and later had another nearly as long with 21 in a row.

As legend haves it, Courage Tshabalala went 71-1 (70) in his amateur career. Not sure where that loss or non-KO win happened but there has to be a long KO streak in there.

From our Google AI friend (Courage Tshabalala): "Claims to have an amateur boxing record of 72-1 with 72 knockouts. Lost his first amateur match by decision. Claims to have won 72 straight one round knockouts as an amateur. If you add his first 9 pro fights which he won by knockout, Tashabalala scored 79 straight knockout victories." And, yes, 72 plus 9 still equals 81 (AI or no AI).
