What are the longest periods of time that fighters have gone without losing a fight?

From 1905 to late 1914 Jack Johnson was undefeated, his only loss being a DQ.

Then he lost to Willard and went unbeaten for another decade.

Roy Jones was unbeaten sans a DQ loss from 89-2003.

Marciano was undefeated period in the eight years that he boxed.

Julio Cesar Chavez had his first fight in early 1980.

He 87-0 before he drew with Whitaker in late 1993.

He was 89-0-1 when he went into his fight with Randall in mid 1994, which he lost.

14 years and 90 fights without a loss (one draw) is quite a streak, even if his early competition was poor.

Yeah, Chavez was amazing with his streak.

How long were Pep and Robinson's streaks?

Monzon was undefeated for the last 13 years of his career I believe. Something like 81 fights.

SRR was "only" 35-0 when he lost to LaMotta. He continued on to 128-1-2 though :D , which was his record when he lost to Randy Turpin in 1951.

Pep was 62-0 when he lost to Angott in 1943.

After dropping a decision to LaMotta, Robinson went 91 fights without defeat. Then lost to Turpin.

Loi lost in Denmark against Johansen in 1952, he revenged that L 2 years later and he was undefeated until he was robbed against Ortiz in his hometown in 1960, that 8 years without a loss were 67 wins...

    Pep was 62-0-0 or 63-0-0.

Marciano obviously was 49-0-0, Holmes was 48-0-0

Chavez had a VERY long one. Wasn't he like 85-0-0 at one point???

    Chavez lost in 1981;)

    If we are talking time:

Foreman went over 14 years unbeaten

Tony Ayala turned pro in 1980 and lost his '0' in 2000....
