Lonnie Smith only looked good in one fight: v. Bill Costello. But, boy did he shine that night. On that night, I think he could have given Hatton a good fight. But, boxing is all about styles, and Hatton's style would be tougher for Smith than Costello's. Whereas Costello employed a style of casually walking forward, while looking to land the big right, leaving his weak chin vulnerable to Smith's awkward counters, Hatton aggressivly attacked his opponents in a smothering manner. Smith wouldn't have the power to hold off the strong chinned (in his prime) Hatton, and would lose a decision.

I'll give this one a try.
Hatton wins the first 6 rounds easy.
Then, in Round 7, Lonnie throws one of is 'wild, eyes closed haymakers', and
    BOOM.
The ref is still counting over Ricky
