Like broadcasting fights via closed circuit TV to the troops in Iraq. I'm by no means saying he's an angel but I think you'll find most business men as succesful as him are unscrupulous. Don King is just an easy target as he is flamboyant, outspoken & a convicted felon.

 

Trump is worth something like 3 billion. I got my numbers from the former head of the Florida State Athletic Commission and a current official in the WBO. He has worked with King and Arum for the last two or three decades and that is what he pegged their individual worth at.

 

How much is Arum worth?

 

According to him around 500 million.

 

Hes been in the game since the 60s, I figured he was worth more than King.

A lot of people bag on King as a businessman, but they are all that way. You have to be....it's how you make money.

 

He also is better at developing talent, so his costs when it comes to attaining talent are prohibitively (sp) lower than King's.

True, I read a couple things about Arum. Some of the stuff accused him of being racist, he supposedly said " I will make 2 *****s get in the ring fight, and I will sit and count the money on the outside".

 

I strongly suspect that is a folk tale.

Former head FBI agent Robert Lee said Arum said to him something along the lines of "We will let the Blacks and the Latinos fight in the ring and we will count the money on the outside". You can find this on many of the top boxing sites, Im pretty sure he said it.
