Thanks so much for uploading that. :good
Decent body work and KO by way of rabbit punch, but that jab and footwork were pathetic. He crossed his feet at least six times and kept doing bouncing without actually moving - very very hittable.

Am I too late to make fun of this Japanese fighter sub par skill level? Screw it, he looked like shyt, like literally!

The Japanese guy Sato's not as horrible as everyone is saying here. He did what he had to do, didn't get hit much, landed some nice body shots, mixed up his punches adequately, is not the slowest fighter I've seen, and took the guy out in less than 2 rounds. It's hard to say where this guys at when the opponent is as poor as the guy Sato fought you don't necassarily throw with speed, keep your hands up, or move around the ring much. I'm not comparing these two as fighters by any means, but take a look at some Monzon footage. If one did not know Monzon, it would be hard to imagine that his career was as great as it was.

Its very unlikely Sturm has much trouble with this bloke...But if you look at Felix's career overall, he will put on a stellar performance then back it up with a couple of average ones.
This guys is probably more comparable to Masoe and Castillejo then the other guys on Sturm's record.

I dont think Felix likes power or hard nosed opponants...The odds will be wide so a little coin on Sato to stop him isnt such a bad idea. Though as I said it will be very unlikely Sturm has issues with someone he holds such advantages over tecnhically and speed wise. Felix would really have to drop to ball to lose this one..but if anyone can do it, its Sturm.

Yeesh, I take it Mundine didn't look too swift in his win either...

Mundine will beat Sturm if and when they fight.

In fairness, the man is still a novice - I'm 100% sure he will improve. Sturm probably hasn't seen him fight, so he probably doesn't know how poor he is either. The ONLY people deserving of ridicule are the WBA for sanctioning the fight.

All I've seen is that highlight reel that was posted earlier in the thread, but if those are his highlights, then I'd venture to say he's fallen off a LOT since he fought Danny Green. He looked pretty sluggish and flat footed in those clips.

Koji Sato is a bum. The kid has shitty footwork, and is wide open for counters when he throws shots.

    Terrible. Sturm is a joke.

Sato seems to do some good work to the body... that was a fight early in his career.... I wonder if anybody got any later footage of him... I don't see him beating Sturm either... Unless he does the body work similar to that video...

actually Boxing is HUGE in Japan. bigger than MMA and K-1 kickboxing. i remmember Daisuki Naito's fight with Kemada drew 47% on the tv rating. thats like 47% of japanese people were watchin that fight. boxing dwarfs MMA in japan everytime they go head to head.
