    That's definitely disturbing, but not enough to turn me away from boxing. Certain boxers choose to get themselves into wars instead of boxing smart - it's up to the fighter how much damage he chooses to take. All (or at least most) of the great fighters are as good at protecting themselves as they are at throwing - the ref says PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES for a reason...

    What ever happened to your opponent just being good enough to beat the **** out of you and counteract your efforts to outbox them? You fight someone good enough and you will catch a beating. Some fighters have more of a propensity to lay serious hurt on their opponent

    Boxing if a rough, hazardous contact sport and people sometimes do get hurt...at times seriously. We're all grown(or at least should be) people capable of understanding the dynamics and risks involved in such a sport(same goes for many different forms of racing, American football, hell even luging and bobsledding)
