Even if there isn't 100% flexibility in the one finger, by the time you tape up the hand and put a glove on it, does it really matter?

Yep -- We saw an "upset." It took Pavlik four and a half rounds to stop a guy who had never been stopped, and KP even got hit in the process. What a freaking travesty. Personally, I was extremely "upset."

Espino is no world beater. He's straight off the "C" list, but he's also #7 on the growing list of guys who had never been stopped before.

Yeah, Espino was hungry alright. Honestly though, is your prediction based on KNOWING HOW ESPINO fights or is it passport and citizenship related like the rest of the mentally ******ed who think nationality plays a major role in performance?. Judging by your posts I know the answer, future all-time great janitor.

Anyway cockroaches aside, I don't even know who Espino is and I think it's fair to say no one knew either. Honestly, did anyone know who Lockett was or a better question is does anyone who know Lockett is?!

i think most on this forum are under the impression that kelly Pavlik is a mentally damaged fighter. It's amazing how people forget how truly tough, mentally and physically, this kid is. He is still young and, I believe, has not yet reached his max potential.

Until he proves his detractors wrong, again, we're going to be witnesses to crappy predictions like this one.

Pavlik is a tomato can and if he continues to fight tomato cans he will definitely look like the superior tomato can. Hey man even Hopkins was looked like an old opponent he will walk through going in that fight where they promoted is "Hopkins has never been stopped, tune in for a sensational image of Hopkins on the canvas" so till he fights someone good I'm not a noob to get carried away.

Oh Scar, what an insightful poster you are. As far as I'm aware both Miguel Espino and Kelly Pavlik are Americans. So those "passport" and "citizenship" related issues you talk about, are probably more reflexive in nature, perhaps you're a little too ethnocentric, Espino isn't "American" enough for you? Don't worry, I don't expect answer. I'm sure you're too busy working your way through your own neuroses to actually substantiate your opinions in a logical way.

My predication was based on all the issues I mentioned in this thread, not blind hatred or ignorance or bigotry - to suggest it was, is lazy and laughable. I talked about Kelly's schooling by B-Hop, the rumours about his personal life, this health issues, the sluggish performances etc. Its a big leap of ignorance on your part, to pretend those issues didn't exist.

So Pavlik won, what a revelation. And in doing so he proved absolutely nothing. I was wrong, Espino did good, but didn't shock the world, oh the shame , however will I cope.

As for comparing Espino's performance to Locket's - did you actually see the fight - because that comparison makes me think you're spouting some pre-prepared monologue. There was NO comparison between Espino and Locket's performances. The only similarities were in the match-matching. Locket put in a shameful, half-hearted performance and then quit. Espino went to war and finished on his feat.

My advice to you would be, forget about your internship as a janitor or pest controller or whatever it is, and try getting your reading age up to that of a 14 year old, then we'll talk, ok :good

Styles make fights, Scar...he beat a guy twice who beat B-hop twice.

It was ignorant mentality to think that B-hop would be stopped in the Pavlilk fight...i stated from the outset that B-hop was a horrible style matchup for Kelly. Pavlik is not a "tomato can" as you claim. He has only lost once...that was to one of the best middleweights in the history of boxing, not just this era. You can't say for sure he's a tomato can if he hasn't fought "someone good" in your mind, now can you?

Who would he have to fight to convince you that he is not a bum? Every fighter has his share of "bums" on their resume. Who? Does he have anyone to fight at middleweight who would convince you? Should he challenge Arthur Abraham at 168 after the "big six"? If he's not effective at a larger weight class, would that diminish his status beacuse he's a one division fighter? It didn't diminish Kostya Tzsyu's career.

Like i said, the verdict is still out on pavlik...time will tell how good or how bad he truly is. So far, his record and his KO ratio for a middleweight is very impressive.

racist? What are you talking about? So is the great Kelly Pavlik now immune to criticism? It is what it is, he beat a C-level fighter, nothing more, nothing less. The shock is rather that he was only able to sell 3500 tickets in his hometown for a title fight. He was never a big draw outside of Ohio now he is pretty much down to ballroom status there too. This was a warning shot from the fans he has left: "no more cans! We won't take this bs any longer!"
