^^^^^^^^^^^ THis is how Cotto looked after running for most of the fight against a one eyed Margarito with 10oz gloves and no bricks.

Let's face it the first five rounds looked almost identical to the first fight with Cotto looking spent and worried on his stool at the end of the fifth.

Margarito looked like he was starting to get to Cotto until the eye damage.

Props to Cotto for doing what he needed to do to get the win but it's pretty clear Margarito did not need the plaster in the first fight !

Just cause he's a boxer does not mean he's impervious to swelling. Even if I hit him in the face 100 times he would swell.

True but he also was not landing nearly the shots that he did in the first fight. And Cotto looked just as bad after the Pacquiao fight without plaster.

Except for the blood, NOT REALLY!

  7. Post-Plaster Cotto's skin will never be the same as it was before the assault with illegal wraps. Thanks for the pictures!

Pretty much the same can be said for Margarito's eye, which was Cotto's saving grace.

I just love it when people try to draw conclusions from a snapshot of how a fighter "looked". Cotto was bleeding out of his ears and eyes after the first fight - he isn't this time. It's also false to say the fights were going similar - Cotto was showing no sign of wilting and that may well be due to Margarito having less power.
