They closed the gyms due to swine flu?! I really hope that's not a possible excuse being brought up in advance, just in case. I vaguely remember being boggled at the food poisoning thing - who eats seafood from a place they're not 100% sure of to rehydrate?

I understand closing down the schools, public transportation, restaurants and such. Closing boxing gyms just seemed random to me, that's all.

QUintero is the prospect to watch out for. Alot of guys are busy hyping little tyson, or tyson ****in fury or some other cuban prospects, and dont get me wrong, some of them are good but this little bad ass from Tijuana is coming up.

Wes Ferguson is the perfect test for this guys.

Only seen Quintero once, and that's when he gave Nick Casal the business on Shobox. Dude has a crazy exciting style and I can't wait to see him fight again. I just wish he was in with more of a live opponent than Ferguson.

Quintero is a good young fighter well worth your time.

At the same time, it'll be intriguing to see if Abregu has recovered from his **** poor stateside debut against David Estrada. Garcia isn't a tough opponent so anything less than a KO or a stellar one sided thrashing is a disappointment IMO.

Will they still tack on a 3rd fight or did that die with Vernon Forrest no showing?

Here we have one of the most impressive prospects out there yet nobody wants knows him or even wanna talk about him especially what he did last night? ****in typical.

This is how i know that more than 50% of posters on ESB are jus casual boxing fans.

Well the biggest fight of the year IS a few hours away. Some people are a little more preoccupied with their fanatical/betting interests about to take center stage.

great win for quintero, ferguson is a hard MOFO to figure out, and quintero had him figured out quick.....i was kind of pissed at the commentators at about the 4th and 5th round cause up to that point ferguson had only been competetive in 1 round, yet they were making it seem like he was winning.........

anyways, great night of boxing....got to see 4 great fights

    quintero vs ferguson
    abregu vs garcia
    gomez vs buendia
    urbano antillon vs harris

Yeah, Quintero seems to be a decent one so far. However, if Ferguson had more pop in his hands, we would be talking about that nice right hand he put Quintero to sleep with. My assessment of Quintero is that he has nice boxing skills, but his defense needs a little more tweaking. Other than that, good prospect who certainly seems to have the goods.

^^ That's true.. Had Ferguson had true power behind those punches, QUintero would have been in deep trouble.. he could have got KTFO..

He's still young and full of energy so i can understand why he overcommits to his offense while neglecting his defense but those can be worked out.. He's capable of learning anything.. He's that type..
