Stop whining and accept that fact that Margs would rather take an ass whooping on his feet than suck dick on his knees like KNEEguel Cottoe.

i thought Margo just broke Pac's ribs.

  4. Wow... **** you buddy. Let's see you get hammered for 2 or 3 rounds with plaster fists and see if you don't take a damn knee. Let alone 11 or 12 rounds. Wow. :-(

Show me proof where Margs cheated vs. Cottoe. Even Cottoe's uncle came out and said everything was legit with the handwraps. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Lack of evidence shouldn't result in a lack of common sense.

Who the **** cares what Cotto's uncle said. That crazy old coot threw a cement block at him.

So you expect us to believe Margarito fights legally against a primed unbeated Cotto as the underdog, but then suddenly has an epiphany and walks in with plaster-gloves against Mosley - the man Cotto beat 8 months earlier? Don't be so naive, he almost certainly wrapped illegally against Cotto and most likely against Cintron.

I believe Marg was plastered up against Cotto and in previous fights also.

He took a hammering against Cotto for 6 rounds, but was laughing and joking, in my opinion because he knew he was going to catch up to him with his weapon.

Against Mosley there was no laughing, no joking, he simply got annihilated. Same against Pacquiao.

I don't agree with the 'Cotto has a glass jaw' BS either.

He wobbled a few times down at light welter, because he was severely weight drained.

But since then he has taken full blooded shots off Judah, Margarito, Clottey and Pacquiao.

    He's a warrior.

nah. if margo did break pac's ribs, pac would've cancelled his concert-party in Tahoe tom. but the latest news is that the event in Tahoe will go on as scheduled.

I dont have a problem if you genuinely think the only thing that made Margarito a success was gloves supposedly "loaded with plaster of paris". Its an extreme view, but if you genuinely believe that, fine.

I don't take that standing though, so I'll leave you with a few things to consider.

Early on in his career, Margarito wore down Sergio Martinez. He did this whilst not under the tutelage of Javier Capetillo. Direct question, who soaked his pads in plaster that night, and other fights around that period when Capetillo was not involved with him?

Point brought to me by Doug Fischer. Margarito has always been focused on his career, to the point that he has put off having children till he retires. Why would someone so focused use plaster of paris in every fight, knowing that if caught, he would be not only kicked out the sport, but probably jailed and harassed for the rest of his life.

Margarito has always been ridiculously well conditioned. Why would he kill himself to get to welter, when he and Capetillo could just throw a little more plaster on, maybe add a bit more power (after all it would be impossible to notice right?) and just move to light middle and dominate there?

Margarito has often removed his gloves after fights. Freddie Roach and other ESB'ers caused a big hoo-hah over Margarito not removing his gloves in one of his fights with Cintron. The point is redundant as he DID after Cotto. Do those of you who agreed with this point thus feel Margarito was "plastered" for Cintron but not Cotto?

All we do know at this point, is that Margarito's pads were illegal for the Mosley fight. They contained (as stated by the CSAC after days of inspection) traces of substances that can be found in plaster of paris. Lets remember they did not say "plaster of paris". If it was plaster of paris, I feel they would have just come out and stated so.

There is no evidence that Margarito knew, he has been more than compliant with the commmisions, and respected the suspension and then some, whilst all the while refusing to apologise as he stated he did not know what was in said handwraps. Capetillo has taken the flak for the "mistake", and has been willing to do so.

I'm not saying i'm right and everyone else is wrong, but there are holes in the commonly held theory that Margarito fought every world class opponent with "plaster of paris" laced pads in his hand wraps.

I also hold this view because I feel to question and wave off every Margarito fight/victory is to question/wave off every boxing commisison that ever checked his handwraps and every one-sided beatdown that ever took place within their jurisdictions. In a sense, it helps me sleep at night.

plaster or no plaster he still walked through everything cotto through and broke his heart. The plaster didnt make his chin better. In my opinion he broke cotto down and out-willed him
