I dont tend to go by the Ring mag ratings, but I was browsing recently at the ratings and was shocked by what I saw.

Dawson is considered Ring champ, but only has one win over one of the Ring LHW top 10 fighters and a loss to another

Hopkins at #1 also only has one win over one of the Ring LHW top 10 fighters and a loss to another

Cloud placed at number 2 has a disputed win over #3 Campillo.

Campillo at #3 has a loss and a draw with #6 Murat

Now this is where it gets very interesting
Cleverly at #4 has taken the 0 off of two of the Ring mags top 10 fighters, numbers 6 & 9 and #5 wouldnt fight him. #6 took the 0 of #3, and #8 pulled out of fighting Cleverly.

Nathan has done more than people realise
Number 10, Pascal has beaten Dawson, but recently was fighting a Cleverly leftover last month and couldnt stop a fighter Nathan handled and in 4 rounds, yet Pascal put Hopkins down twice.

    4. Nathan Cleverly
    5. Beibut Shumenov
    6. Karo Murat
    7. Isaac Chilemba
    8. Juergen Braehmer
    9. Tony Bellew
    10. Jean Pascal

His opposition has been shameful he needs to start calling out the big dogs fast.

Im a fan tho, would love to see him fight Dawson.

He has called them out. Cleverly is avoided if anything, and has fought 2 of the current top 10, taking their undefeated records

How the **** can they have Pascal at 10? I guess inactivity really does kill in the rankings.

Calzaghe MKII...the americans are too afraid so try and stain him image with ''he wont fight anyone'' while in reality they are all running like cowards.

It must worry a fighter like Hopkins, who avoided an undefeated fighter from Wales for years, and now there is another undefeated fighter from Wales, in the same division as him

Neer did like their ratings much, but Pascal was taken the distance by a fighter Cleverly stopped in 4

    No...

Dawson is the best light heavyweight in the world.

A good debate would be "is Cleverly better or more accomplished than Beibut Shumenov" because at the moment I would say no.

Dawson's win over Hopkins is next to meaningless, it's clear to anyone that the Pascal fights took it all out of Bernard. The two times Dawson has stepped up to world level, he was beaten convincingly. Dawson has made his name beating up old men on the American domestic circuit, but has been found out at world level.

That same Pascal who beat Dawson, is ranked below two fighters Cleverly has already beaten. Unfortunately it looks like the top dogs don't want to give Clev a shot, as shown in that video with Frank, which is a shame because I'm sure Clev is sick of wasting his time with the Krasniqi's and Karpency's.

He has a good shot at beating anyone in the top 10! Cleverley has a big opportunity to capitalise on a division in flux! Wish he'd ****in fight someone though...

Dawson is ripe for the taking! Cleverley can start up were Zaggers left off! Forget the ****in Shawn Mohawks and make the fights frank u twat!

You are not going to make Clevery any new fans with this bollox. I am a fan of Cleverly but pushing this **** in people's faces only serves as a deterrent. He already has a bad enough image as it is , the last thing he needs is the likes of you making it worse.

Cleverly isn't a bad fighter. He's just very mediocre. I don't blame him for adopting a strict policy of only fighting bums. Long may it continue.
