In two weeks Canelo and GGG will fight for the third time. In my opinion as well as countless others, feel that Canelo never defeated Golovkin but lost two competitive fights to GGG, raising Canelo stock in the process. After failing twice, Canelo went on to defeat Jacobs for his version of the belt in a competitive fight. After that, Canelo went on to win vs Kovalev at 175lbs, then win and unify the 168lbs division vs Smith, Yildrim, Saunders, and Plant, before going for Bivol's 175lb belt and failing miserably. Now, his former conqueror Golovkin is coming up for Canelo's hard earned belts. Can Canelo finally defeat the great middleweight champ Golovkin? Or does GGG still have his number?
