Looking back at Axel Schulz. Is it fair to say he is a top 10 HW's from the 90's?

Looking at his record it seems so. Schulz he perhaps unfortunately is known for suffering 'The Three way Robbery' during his back to back title fights against Foreman, Botha and Moorer. Luck certainly didn't shine on this old school war horse. Due to his wins over Moorer and Foreman (coming of his best ever win infact) in his career it seems fair to say so. If those two make it into your top then it seems scandalous not to have Schulzy well within. He deffo should be there imo.

I've always thought Shultz a very underrated win on Wladimir Klitschko's resume.

He was just age 30 and may indeed with fair officiating have been unbeaten at that time. Axel had never been stopped or even down before that fight.

He wasnt robbed in Moorer fight. It was close but clear win for Moorer.
However, Shulz did beat Botha and Foreman (I scored 115-113 for Shulz both).

So he did better than highly regarded at that time Shannon Briggs (who lost to Foreman 112-116 and to Botha 92-97 on my cards).

A case can be made for top-10 HW of 90's, however, he lucked more quality wins.

As for his fight vs Wlad, Shulz, though only 31, was past prime and it was obvious in his previous fight. But still good win for Wlad - IMO, his best pre-title win.

Schulz was a 90s version of Chisora, accomplishment-wise (not style or skill-wise). Fringe level contender, not easy to beat but never really made it to the top.

Schultz was one of them easy to rob fighters.
Lacking power and then losing a close decision to the bigger name, and he just couldn't catch a break.

Maybe #10. Not that it means anything whatsoever.

Foreman looked terrible, Schultz beat the crap out of him, took Foreman's best punch without blinking an eye.................the decision was so bad that a rematch was ordered. Foreman refused to fight Schultz in a rematch and gave up his IBF title instead. Vlad knocked Schultz out in the 8th round, he was the very first to stop Schultz.............

Wrong skin colour and wrong passport. With the correct ones he would have been considered top 10 easy.
