Looking back at the tournament, it's a sad state of affairs.

The 35 year old Martinez will be on a pension by the time a Super 6 tournament finds a contender for him. Even then, the way this Super 6 has gone, it'll just end up being Kelly Pavlik or Paul Williams.

They need to do a knocout format-

Top 16 or 8 fights......then progress to the final.

Then you dont have fighters who have lost wanting to pull out.

 

I think you guys are forgetting that 2 prospects became legit - Dirrell and Ward. 2 middleweights embarking on SMW glory have been tried and tested - Abrahms and Taylor. 2 legit champs gave us an incredible fight - Froch and Kessler. 1 road warrior has made a rightful pay day and 1 big mouth has taken another rightful beating - Glen and Green.

Planning boxing over 3 years is never going to work but its produced great stuff.

 

Middleweight desperately needs sorting out..... both domestically and on the world stage.

Too many fighters just biding their time fighting bums..... you aren't even getting the lower half top 10 fighters facing each other either. Just shite.

A good champion in Martinez is having to call people out, as was his #1 contender in Williams.... before they fought each other again.

a knockout round is more practical. or 4 fighters with a round robin. this is too vast to make sense.

and 3 fights a year maybe a possabilty.
