Vitali was about to be ****ed badly in round 7. He should be thankful the doctor stopped it. He was gassed, and on baby deer legs holding on for dear life at the end of round 6.

    Quotes from Steward:

“Wladimir is gonna be the one I don’t think I could train a man to beat the way he is. I’m serious. I’ve never had a fighter – I went from Holyfield and all the guys I’ve worked with, never, Lennox – Wladimir is a very, very committed, very difficult fighter to beat. Because he won’t let you fight him. He makes you fight what he wants you to fight. But the biggest thing which I think people are not looking at is his speed for a big man. Tremendous speed. Foot Speed. He can move in, explode, move out, move back in, explode, and I’ve never seen anyone that could…move in and out and be in perfect balance,”

"Wladimir has better one-punch knockout capability than Lennox"

"Wlad has the best footwork, coordination and balance of any fighter I ever worked with. He’s the most accurate, single-punch knockout guy I have ever seen. A guy can be completely fine, not hurt, and Wladimir can put his lights out with one shot."

"Wladimir’s coordination is better and he is the most powerful natural talent than any other heavyweight I have worked with."

"In terms of jab, Wladimir is the best and after him I would put Lennox. In terms of boxing arsenal, Wladimir is better than Lennox."

Rahman in his first fight was fighting an unfocused Lewis that didn't take the fight seriously and experienced jet lag.
Though it is no excuse, it is just a Lewis character flaw.

Wlad is more talented than Lewis and Vitali.

Wlad dominates Lewis like Vitali did and knocks him out like McCall and Rahman did.

Why is ESB like this ?....Look , i know that you're a hardcore fan of the guy , but frankly , i don't care about who should've won or not I'm just talking about Vitali's defense here.

Anyway , all in all , I think Wlad (though not as exciting) is the better fighter.

Lennox & vitali fans are hijacking this thread. This isn't about who should've won !

as far as the klitschko fan base... its just one guy... sooner or later you will just learn to ignore him.

Unfocused , maybe....But Whatever the reason...The point still remains...Prime Lennox Lewis wasn't invincible was he ?....All fighters are flawed..All of them. Ali , Marciano , Holyfield , Tyson , Vitali , Wlad , Foreman etc..

Stop with this "prime Lewis ****". Vitali gives Lewis problems at ANY stage of his career. Face the facts.

Yes Lewis won by TKO6 and wasn't in his usual shape, but how about his loss to Rahman in his prime? Who was a bum more or less. Not so untouchable eh?

    People are stupid.

But IMO, Vitali is better than Wlad head to head. Maybe not a better legacy though.

Wlad is easily faster and more killed BUT simply pressure can easily beat him and/or cause him to panic therefore Vitali is better.

What the hell does Rahman have to do with Vitali? Vitali got his chance landed some flush shots on Lewis, but Lewis preceded to walk down Vitali's shots and cut up his face.

It's very difficult to judge Wlad and Vitali.

What we have are their resumen. In that area, Wlad ranks above Vitali. Beating Byrd, Chagaev, Rahman, Haye, etc, is enough argument. Although it is also hard to judge, because Vitali has a lot wins, past his prime, over contenders. Prime Vital, like the one who beat Sanders or Danny Williams, would be flawless like 2006-2012 Wlad.
