Apart from the obvious things we already know from watching that fight, how good could Gonzales be in the future?

No clue to why he pulled out that night, wrist, heart or conditioning?

Anyone know what he's up to?

The guy has got skills and power.

Jim Watt commented on his pad work in the dressing room before the fight and said Ricky could be in trouble here by what he just saw, looked class - and he was right.

You can have all the physical attributes in the world but if you have not got the mental attributes you wont succeed at the very top level in this sport. See Andre Dirrell.

He's clearly world class. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but no one quits like that.

    More to it...

shocked when he retired, only explanation at the time was burns started to get to him a little and he didnt like it, not really the best attitude for a fighter. It wasent as if he was getting whacked from pillar to post aswell just a few decent shots and he(or his corner) decided enough was enough

The guy was weight drained and when he picked the pace up in the 7th there was nothing left,he hit the invisible wall simple

I was shocked as well, the guy was absolutely schooling Ricky and looked a completely different class. Can only guess that he was weight drained or lacks heart after Rickys started to boss him in the last round.

Either way the fight showed Burns has flaws and was made to look very one dimensional

The most embarrassing bit is reading the idiots who think Burns broke his heart.

    Ridiculous.

It's not really its wankers like you who can't give him credit for coming back from the brink of defeat!
Zif he were English we wouldn't hear the end of it
