    Reading some information on the

HW Scene of the early 2000's.

2000's Ring 'Rising American Star Michael Grant and the Ukrainian Giant Vitali Klitschko are both in the talks to fight Lennox Lewis. John Ruiz was the WBA MANDATORY.

Lewis obviously did not want to hug a smelly John for 12 rounds and decided to tell Ruiz to go **** himself. So John was out of the picture.

It was down to Vitali and Grant. Two super heavyweights, which Lewis was going to fight back to back in 2000. Lewis was still in his prime at that time.

What end up happening was ******ed Vitali did a global quit job on a 5'11 Former Light MiddleWeight Chris 'featherfist' Byrd.

Lennox, true to his words did fight Grant and knocked him out in brutal fashion. Ending Grant's career.

Vitali went into no man's land for 4 years and did nothing of note. He came back and got tko6ed by a fat shot Lewis. But still, would have been even better if he got knocked the **** out by Prime Lennox instead back in 2000.
tko6 although good is not quite as good as KO4

Wladimir Klithscko vs Lennox Lewis was the
super fight. Everyone around the world at a time when the HW'S was still semi relevant treated Sanders as the warm up to Lewis.
Lewis was waiting in 2003 for a farewell bout and it had Wladimir's name on it.
'Clean out the old, clean out the new' was the motto. Everyone was ready for the super fight.
Wladimir end up dying to some golfer and that's all she wrote.

2000 Prime Lewis vs Green Vitali was gonna be a ko of Vitali within 4-5 Rounds.

2003 Past Prime Lewis vs a Glass Chin yet to be exposed Wladimir will be

Lewis ko2. Even the most hard core of Klithscko supporters will admit
    2003 Wlad vs a 2003 Lewis = dead Wladimir

So Chris Byrd and Sanders took away from Lennox's Legacy. At least

3-5 Ranks on the ATG CHARTS.

But does Vanilla SouthPaw beat the Chocolate Southpaw is the real question? Sanders has reach and power..but Byrd has black slickness?

    I'm totally torn.

I did a interview on Sanders, in another thread. This guy was super legit.

He was a part time Golfer and a part time cook WHILE Boxing.

Yes both Klitschkos had their chance at a prime Lewis but they were both stopped by different fighters.

Vitali only had a short reprieve, however, before he was stopped again, this time by Lewis himself.

Good point...he would kill Byrd than cook him a nice low carb meal.

I think this thread has made it official Sanders is the H2H King of the 00s.

Good to see at least someone read the facts.

This is something nobody talks about amist all the 'tko6' and vitali vs lewis' threads.

THEY BOTH DID HAVE THEIR CHANCE... They both blew it.. It is what it is.

Indeed, a lot of people say its not their fault there aren't any great fighters for them to beat, well technically it is, because they both blew their chance.

Also have to bash Lewis a bit to make it fair.

Lennox blew it against Tyson in the mid 90's by losing to Mccall.

It is what it is. Lewis could have at least got closer to a Tyson fight by beating Mccall the FIRST TIME. Instead of ****ing that up.

Obviously the money was still a issue and Lennox was ******ed and didn't want to fight for 'smaller purse' even though Tyson was the cash cow.

    Losing to Mccall didn't help.

The point is, both Kbros blew it when they had a big shot at greatness. When it mattered.

They didn't take it and now their fans are acting like

THEY ARE PART OF THE NEW ERA. NO THEY ARE NOT.

They were part of THE END of Lewis's era. They could have fought a lot of 90's HW'S if they didn't keep ****ing up.

    2000-02 Lewis 2000-02 Tyson 2000-01 Holyfield
Tyson and Holyfield were past it, but still would have been good fights.
The Kbros blatantly either ****ed up or duck all these old men in the early 2000's to

    'wait it out'

Kind of like how Lewis didn't get his chance at Bowe, prime Evander, and prime Tyson..you know blowing his chance by getting KOed by McCall and all.

Sanders was Ok but nothing special. I think it would have been an interesting match-up back in the day but to bad the **** never happened.
