i agree that Bute in his first fight with Andrade ( 12 th round ) was saved from the loss by the ref ... that counting ..... but i think Bute wasn't prepared enough well for that fight ..... in the second fight he was different .

Because being against the ropes is the end of the world? Johnson trying to get inside, you don't see Bute timing him? Substantial difference in handspeed and lateral movement here.

    Didn't you get the memo?

Cool. Hopefully we see a couple of stills of overhand rights landing on Bute's jaw (to address the glass jaw point).

    Source on the HBO thing?

GBP won the Andrade II purse bid, had the fight in Québec, lots of posters thought Andrade was gonna KTFO Bute, and there you go. Meanwhile the S6 was set up @ SHOWTIME, so STFU with the duck talk.

What's a cap driver? And WTF do you think SHOWTIME's doing with the Bute contract?! Paying out millions for fights against "cap drivers"? GTFOH. :patsch

Bute KO's Johnson late = you'll be supporting Bute on ESB? :hey

Nearly - nearly - as good as Sakio Bika's excuse for losing to Bute a couple of years ago.

You proved me your an idiot with this post.

Your degrading a man's image with no proves, no quotes and act like you had some god giving right to do so. Go **** yourself.

I don't think they lied, but I don't think that the illness that Bute had prior to the first Andrade fight was the sole and decisive factor for what happened. I think there was lack of experience(didn't knew to control the pace), lack in defense, and he was not trained to fight 12 intense rounds at full throttle.

Bull****. The timekeeper does not continue time until the ref calls for action to resume. End of story.

    Idiot response.

It doesn't matter what happened in the previous 11. Andrade knocked him out in the 12th. The ref failed to follow procedure, Bute got the win.

I'm aware. Thats the point. The ABC rules ARE the unified rules.

I don't agree. Bute was able to fight 12 rounds full throttle before that fight. He did against Bika.

...that's right, and that was after getting roughed up pretty good in rounds 1-2-3.

What do you not understand about not being saved by the bell. Read the regulations for referees. The ref continues time, not the timekeeper. Once the ref continues the fight, then the timekeeper can ring the bell.

People are arguing about Bute and this stupid "glove off the canvas" thing but had he not been leaning on the ropes, he would have not been standing. Thats why the ref ****ed Andrade.

What the timekeeper has to do is the key in that story, and each organization has different rules about him. In one, the timekeeper HAS TO ring the bell as soon as the fighter clear the mat. 2 of them don't mention anything. The Quebec boxing commission says that the referee has to call for action to resume. But the Quebec rules don't apply in a championship bout.

You say end of story but you have nothing to prove your point. The only thing clearly written is that Bute was ok as soon as he stood up. That part is written.

In case you didn't read the article, there's "non-controversy" in the title. I say you should write to ESB's management and demand a revision of the article for validity/legitimacy purposes.

    Why not?! :D
