Its irrelevant by this point anyway. He did what he needed to do in the rematch. No need to justify the first fight. These things happen. And IF, I said IF Laffie, the ref made a mistake, it was not the fault of Bute. On a side note, I hate post fight excuses. Holyfield has one for EVERY loss. The Real Deal seems to Real Ill every time he loses.
Hmm.. Fight was under UNIFIED rules (for the millionth time). I'm not really all that interested in this argument anymore. I've literally repeated the same thing over and over, and the Bute fans are just going to pretend to not understand. The rules are VERY CLEAR about the timekeeper and the refs job. You guys can make up all the rules you want, copy and paste some **** from another internet poster, but the rules are right there. For the last time. The ref is supposed to make the fighter walk to him, respond to him, THEN wipe his gloves and continue the fight. Thats is not what the ref did. The ref ****ed up and in the process, ****ed Andrade. This glove off the canvas ****- fine, if he was truly up on his own power and ready to go, but he wasn't. Clearly. When its said that you can't be saved by the bell in any round, I think what they mean is that you can't be saved by the bell. In any round. I know its cryptic, but its right there.
I'm not interested anymore to discuss that with you because you actually repeat the same things for nothin. If the IBF said their rules had been respected, I'll trust them before I trust you. If all the most respected boxing columnist said the ref followed the rules, I will trust them before I trust you. But more, the rule you're citing is not valid in th 12th round and you just don't want to admit it. You go on and go on, pretending it's not the case but it is. At the end of the 12th round, the fighter doesn't have to be in condition to continue, like it or not. :hi:
no but its the best position to score in a boxing fight. Its Lucys nature he doesnt like to fight and wants none of exchanges but lacks skills to move properly and to control his own positioning yet hes supposed to land well timed punches on Johnson? No and thats why this fight will take place in Johnsons house and Lucy has very little to there. you could cut one of Johnsons arms off before a fight and he´d still tell you he feels great and is ready to go. you won´t here any excuses ever. Johnson is a warrior and a class act - the exact opposite of Lucy whos still making new excuses about a fight that has happened years ago. a cab driver is a taxi driver you know some semi pro bum like Mendy, Magee, Brinkley etc.. Showtime paid him for that showcase fight against Magee now they want to get something thats why he has to fight Johnson after he ducked Kessler by offering him about $2.50 for a fight. thats how it works like HBO allowed him to fight Miranda then they were talking about Dawson, Hopkins, Cloud, Pavlik all those guys but Lucy was too scared and talked about Brinkley so they told him to **** off. obviously fights should get made where the money is so both fighters can gain the maximum profit. it has to be assured that there are neutral and competent officials thats it If Lucy somehow wins this i´d have to rejudge him obvioulsy because he must have done alot of things we´ve never seen him doing before but i´ll continue to just post my opinion whatever it may be..
I do not know if there was a rematch clause in the contract for the first Bute/Andrade fight. However, I have been watching, listening to, and reading about Librado Andrade for a very long time. If the ref had awarded the first fight to Andrade, I am 100% certain Andrade would have given Bute a rematch. Bute would have done exactly what he did in the rematch he willingly gave Andrade. That first fight is irrelevant, and I have no ****ing clue why certain posters continue to pretend it's relevant.
Thing is, they aren't new excuses, this is all circa post-Andrade II. Larouche came out with this in an interview after Bute smashed Andrade. I'm just here to contribute to the wake-up call regarding Bute's not so bad chin. "Cap driver" you wrote twice, was kinda funny. I know what a muf****in cab driver is man. So you're telling me HBO couldn't understand Bute's will to clear 168? Interbox told them to fukk off with all those LHW's and rightfully so. Pavlik wasn't in the picture one bit. Brinkley was a mandatory and considering the ongoing Super Six, Bute had to fight him to retain bargaining power. Andrade KTFO Stieglitz. Miranda broke AA's jaw. Berrio & Froch were considered the two best punchers at 168 in 2007. Bika had decent pop and gave Ward a tough night. Why you're convinced that Bute has a glass jaw is beyond me, especially considering the facts I brought to light in the first post of this thread.
you are so right about everything thats why andrade made an official complaint and won his case right, if its that clear the hole boxing communaty must be dum, rule makers refs, boxing analysts dont know **** but you doo, see what happend with b-hop and dawson, how they reversed the ruling, but know your right, boxing officials should contact you, u know best. its funny how nobody puts bute down for his boxing skills, its always about the dumbest things ever.
Lucy is basically a textbook example of a glass jawed fraud. the cowardice, the fragility and the disgraceful ducker mindset he displays as well as his denegation to actually fight in the ring and the facts that he already got knocked out by Andrade and that he got his pity of a glass chin shattered by midget Golovkin with one punch prove that to me. Old 154lbs fighter Ouma was recently able to absorb a million of Golovkins punches while Lucy couldn't withstand one. Andrade didn't KTFO Stieglitz he hurt him and Stieglitz eventually got stopped on his feet. the only relevant opponent Andrade has ever KTFO'd was Lucy Bute. and whats wrong with HBO asking Lucy to fight in his native weight class and thats actually at 175lbs when most interesting opponents at 168lbs were tied up in a tournament for years to come? He could have asked others to move down or to agree to some catchweight to get a meaningful fight made or two or at least shown some honest will to fight anyone with half a pulse or tried to enter the S6 after all these dropouts but instead he preferred to cowardly abuse the S6 as an excuse to fight bums for years so that he was able to hide his glass jaw from any competition.
Way to ignore Berrio and Miranda. Miranda asked for Kessler in 2007-08 but Kessler had to fight Sartison for the WBA title, followed by Haussler as a mandatory... great comp, right? What do you make of the mandatories, and of the fact Bute would lose his belt if he officially moved to 175 fighting LHW's for 2 years?!?? Don't say the belt doesn't matter in terms of bargaining power for top 5 fights... otherwise you can fukk right off. Tell that to Kessler who was inclined to go for Stieglitz by getting the WBO to rate him, when Bute and Showtime both showed interest for Bute-Kessler to happen. And hey, things were going well with Pav until he bottled it. Bute will remain at 168 for another 1.5-2.0 yrs. No fukkin around at 175. Not a whole lot of young amateurs could have taken that well timed punch by Golovkin btw...
Berrio? most of the opponents he knocked out were like 0-22(20) and from Colombia like Miranda and neither of them tested Lucys chin . also jaws can break rather easily when you get caught with your mouth open. it happens in the flyweights as well as in the heavyweights and its not necessarily an evidence that someone is a tremendous puncher although both of this guys pack some kind of a punch no doubt. Sartison was a way better opponent than Miranda. Miranda had a fight with Stieglitz set it was meant to be some giftdefense after he upset Balzsay because Miranda had some name Germany until Lucy stole Miranda two or three weeks before the fight. Haussler was a bum right yet Kessler was able to take care of him and still had the time to fight Clazaghe, Froch, Ward etc and belts don't matter a champion is a champion and a fake beltholder disgrace is a fake beltholder disgrace. there are hundreds of belts even guys like Magee get some piece of a belt. If someone wants it then he just has to pick it up. Like Lucy did when Clazaghe vacated he moved down to pick his belt up the easiest route. also the super middleweight division is an useless weight category in the first place that only was created to hand out more fake belts. also the only one using belts as an excuse to ***** out of fights is actually Lucy. Everyone else wants to come to Montreal, shatter that glass in front of 20k people and go home with some reasonable money in the bag. Kessler fights Stieglitz because its a way bigger money fight than that fake offer Lucy has provided with intent to duck Kessler.
When he scoll down the page, he happen to blink when your post got in the screen and then open back his eyes as the scroll down continues. Surely he doesnt ignore your post with purpose...?
There was no rematch clause. plus after Zuniga, Bute just had to sign in the bottom of the contract for him to fight Froch, but the S6 started and Bute wanted badly to have a rematch with Andrade, he felt there was unfinished business, he wanted to show people that it was a mistake. Then we all saw what happened. As you say, most sane people have moved on. Some people find it too convenient to let it go when they want to argue that Bute is not that good. It's the perfect example and to "forget" the rematch is convenient too.
