Wlad can NOT duck Fury.

Fury CAN however CHOOSE to step aside and take a different route to his legacy.

Fury doesn't need Wlad to begin his legacy, and Wlad doesnt need Fury to cement his own.

Just as Lewis did not NEED to rematch Vitali to cement his, and Wlad did not need Lewis to create his.:thumbsup

Fury and Wladimir WILL fight if they both want it. And sadly, for us Fury fans, the torch will NOT be passed that night.:-(

 

Lewis threw his IBF title in the trash to avoid Byrd.

Sure, it for a better payday vs Tyson, but a few step-aside bucks out of 30 million, and the fight could have been next.

It was duck do to Byrd's slick SP style being something Lewis didn't care to give a go.:nono

 

Tyson was a bigger money fight.

Lewis wouldn't have had any trouble with Byrd. He had a 10 inch reach advantage over him, and Byrd wouldn't have the power to stop Lewis.

 

As for what Universe were Ruiz and Valuev HOFers.....

Considering they won titles from the Golden 90s ATGs, I would say they'll find themselves in the IBHOF.

I'm talking about the MAJOR belts (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO), not some meaningless regional/continental trinket.

Good post but I actually agree with VG irt Lewis beating Byrd. But I also agree with you that he should have actually made the fight, or simply gave Byrd 100K to wait it out.

Wladimir coulda paid Leapei 500K to go away quietly, but it's not like there were big $$$ fighters like Fury, Haye, or Adamek banging on Wlads door at the time of the Leapei fight, so he went ahead and said.....fukk it.....Make a quick 5 mil and dispose of the mandatory.:think

Just as I said. 100K and Byrd wouldve wait. He said so himself. But Lewis, having NEVER fought an elite SP, didnt wanna go that route, and saw bigger $$$ signs with Tyson and Holyfield.:-(
