Looking back, Ricky Hatton should have avoided Mr. Floyd Joy Sinclair at all costs

He saw what Mayweather could do at 140 (When he was there for the Gatti fight). He wanted no part of May in 2005, NONE!

How the hell was he ever going to win this fight?

He never hurt May once in the fight.

Floyd is the better in fighter, the better out boxer, the better everything.

After Floyd ko'd him, Ricky was never ever the same.

Ricky stated, "I was never ever the same after Floyd knocked me out, almost every punch afterwards felt like bricks, felt like each shot was going to knock me out"

Floyd was brutal in their 2007 confrontation.

Hatton had no business in the ring with Floyd. Never did.

    Completely different levels.

Would also have negated Floyd's biggest win in his entire career

Most boxers/athletes like to challenge themselves.

The way he beat Castillo, compared to the way FMJ did he thought he stood a good chance.

    ?

Hatton, Floyds' best win...? I think not.

'Twas a great one, though. Just not his best.

He should have realized 5 years is a long time in boxing, especially with the Corrales war thrown in there.

I sometimes think how Hatton's career would have turned out if he had dedication to the sport as Manny and FMJ have.
You can't binge drink, get fat between fights and beat elite pros.

Hatton was physically very damaged from Mayweather's flush right hands, 3rd/4th round right hands were only the start of his troubles.

Same thing, he would never beat either man

Mayweather is far far far better than Ricky will ever be.

didn't do much worse than canelo considering he was at a size disadvantage. Hatton was 40-0 going into the fight and wanted to challenge the best. What's he supposed to do, get an advisor like al hayman and duck the big fights?

    Cortez helped FJM also.

If the ref who did Brook vs Porter recently was in charge of Hatton vs FMJ, Rickie might have knocked him out.
