Looking for an opponent for my son, cant find anyone in Tasmania,
14 year old and 111kg super heavy.
Has anyone got someone in their gym around his age and weight.
His coach has made inquiries but cant find anyone.

Try messaging Marcus. He's just about due for a proper arse whipping.

If not, stay put and Boxa cafe might give you a call.

Geez mate, I don't mean to offend you but I think that is too big for a lad so young to be trading serious punches with anyone the same size.

He has got so much going on (Bone development etc), which is already being taxed by his weight, that just one or two solid blows could do permanent damage.
It's probably the reason why you can't find an opponent.
    JMO. Good luck.

he is only ametuer so that is why the opponent has to be his own age. Cant box outside two year age difference. I wouldnt put him in a situation to get hurt.

    Good luck with that project!

Pity Ryan Hogan's out of his age group - your son would probably whip him.

An idea would be to organise some decent sparring, before putting him out there, hes a big lad and even at his age an opponant could still do damage, just was wondering how tall the boy is?

Boxing might be a better and more practical vocation than say perhaps equastrian for young fella.

If he's of Pacific Island heritage, it doesn't surprise me.

I was helping a woman with her computer & she had a boy with her.
    She's local, Hubby is ex-Samoan.
The boy was about 1.3 mtrs tall & about 50 odd kilo's.
I says to him. "What, no school today?"
His mum says "He's only 4" :yikes

If thats the case, then the reason is probably due to parents not wanting to put their 14-15 year old kids in with an 113kg kid.

I was about 50kgs when I was 14, if my dad put me in the ring with someone as big as your kid, child services would be knocking down our door.

They should have been anyway, just for dressing you in red and green - a terrible form of child abuse.

He's over 6ft 1 spars 4 nights a week at training with all sizes and ages. His coach is very good at looking after all the boys when they box up. spars with the adults who look after him. Had 1 exhibition bout.
