    If you are looking for heavyweight stuff pre-1970's, there are the Adam Pollack books, they are all excellent and extensively researched.

    Randy Robert's books on Jack Dempsey and Jack Johnson are great.

    I fought them all, the book on Sailor Tom Sharkey is a good read too.
