Just seen the matchroom interview Billy .Good interview .Would be quality to see Burns at 140 I think . Hope he keeps winning can't wait for this weekend .
Ricky is in the condition of his career and will put on his best ever performance come Saturday,he's punching very quick and hard and I expect him to stop Gonzalez.
:rofl:rofl That video is just pointless but what makes me laugh is how doesn't have a clue that the bus has pulled over for him then speeds up and styles it out as he walks into hotel.
Just watching the highlight video this guys quite skilled yet so raw at times. It's almost like he's a natural fighter and does things off the cuff yet at times fights seemingly with reckless abandon. It looks like this will be a good fight because doesn't seem like he comes to hear judges thoughts.
Yeah i agree Ted, Just watching one of his recent fights and must say he's a very good body puncher with short uppercuts and left hooks to body. He has nice reflexes and is quite skilled and leads and counters well. I'm shocked, He's a pretty handy fighter. Looking forward to this now.
that doesn't mean much these days. Come on Billy who has this guy beat? Good luck to Ricky this saturday. Don't really mind this fight, think it will be a fun fight and Rickys run at 135lbs has been quality so far. Hopefully he will fight a big name or champion next time out.
I think sometimes when lots of people tell us a boxer isn't worth his shot we can get a bit brainwashed.General consensus on here when Gonzalez was first mentioned was that he wasn't very good at all.And there was a hell of a lot of that if we look back. Was almost convinced myself after saying Puerto Rican, number one etc. and then being told I was talking crap.Dont pretend to know as much as Skills but can understand what he says.Advantage Ive probably got is that Im older and have seen a bit more.I always use the example of John Stracey against another "average" contender Carlos Palomino.Dont think we get the same result here, but wouldn't be the biggest upset, either.
I can assure everyone on here Gonzalez has gor our full respect, however I've never seen Ricky so sharp in the gym and punching as hard, it doesn't matter who was standing in front of him Saturday they way he's looking whoevers there is in a whole lot of bother. Gonzalez hasn't boxed anyone nearly as strong and quick as Ricky that's not to mention his relentless workrate. Looking forward to this one KO for Rickster!
