After siting the meteor shower of critical reviews since last night, it occured to me that dibella and sergio have a plan to attract the "Big" fights. Bring in a capable but unspectacular solid pro w/ little power and no inclination to bring the fight to make sergio look ordinary and beatable. Let his aura of invincibility subside a bit, so the higher money earners will want a shot at history for middleweight gold. seeing that most of the posters on here and so called boxing media know little about the actual sweet science, it looks as if it might work. I see martinez fighting the winner of Cotto/Margarito. I see him beating everyone at 160 and below with the exception of 2 fighters. Fraud gayweather and Dmitry Pirog. I think floyd's straight lead will find target as was barkers whenever he threw it. I also think floyd's movement will keep sergio one step behind. As for pirog, he seems to fight better on the big stage, and he's as tall as barker with way more skill, speed, pop, and he's uber relaxed in there. Sergio wouldn't be able to land more than one at a time on the slick russian, plus he's not fast enough to close the gap on pirog. I think pirog lands more on sergio than sergio lands on him to take a UD over 12 entertaining rounds. Floyd just potshots his way to be snoozefest and middleweight king all on the same night. However, if it's floyd that faces sergio, then dibella's plan would've worked perfectly. And it will all be because of the gullable fans on ESB that will make it happen, and the whole reason why martinez/pirog will never happen. Which would make the aficianado's happy.:verysad
