Maybe not, a guy who's two best wins are against 155ers and refuses to fight a man he sucker punched at a weight he fought before is definitely not a coward and a bully right....
I dont know if Nick is scared of GSP. But making a mug of your boss, trainer and opponent twice in 2 days in front of the worlds press is never a good idea All it would have take was a phone call and Im sure Dana wouldnt be able to resist the $'s this fight would have made just because Nick didnt turn up at the PC He only has himself to blame, no two ways about it
Are you familiar with this antics before his scheduled fight with Jay Hieron? That was essentially him not turning up for a fight.
Dana always said "Nick Diaz just doesn't know how to play the game". Not turning up to press conferences, not returning calls, acting like a moron, talking like a moron etc just doesn't work.
I'm just surprised Dana didn't turn it to his advantage. The reclusive, violent sociopath threat to GSP, the nice company man who always shows up on time. The countdown video would show how relentless both are in their training. Casual fans are hooked, the hardcore get the fight they want. Dana expected this. He's happy he's able to **** on Diaz and crush his relevance as a fighter.
He's a top ten Welterweight. And now he pretty much cannot come back. From an objective standpoint (rather than a clear anti-Diaz standpoint as you seem to be coming from, apologies if I'm wrong) I'm disappointed it's unlikely we'll see Nick Diaz in with any of the UFCs best anytime soon. From a stylistic standpoint, this would've been a quality matchup. Condit is still good, but Diaz is a cartoon character and the complete opposite of GSP, he'd bring a lot more intrigue for me personally :good One thing I do like is they've replaced a tough, tenacious fighter with a guy who comes to destroy. So I'm not complaining that Condit has got the shot. But this just seems like Dana seeing an opportunity to bury a talent who could make for some quality matchups in his organisation. I think that's a bit sad to be honest, some fighters just aren't cut out for some stuff, and should be allowed to be just that IMO: fighters :good
Come off it. He wouldn't trade with a banger like Daley if he was a coward. Levels apart of course, but it shows his mentality when actually in the cage and let's be honest, he wouldn't be in the cage if he was a flapper. He's a waste of time tosser sometimes, for sure, and needs to stop acting like an angsty teen. But I don't think for a second that Diaz is scared of anyone, despite some of the shocking debacles he has been part of. The kid is a fighter, it's clear to see from watching him for a few minutes that much is true.
Re the 1st paragraph, that's Diaz# fault not Dana. He signed the contract, he didnt fulfil it. It's his fault. No one elses, the man is 28 years old and is at best naieve, or at worst stupid to think there would be no consequences to not fulfilling his obligations. He'd be more than happy to cash the cheque for the fight, leaving GSP to do ALL the promotion, because he doesnt like it. Basically the attitude of a child Damn right Im anti Diaz, he's a bully and a piece of **** (good fighter though). Stylistically he's not a good match up for GSP, not at all. GSP is better at everything, I mean everything. He can take a punch and is good off his back. That's about it. Nothing Georges hasnt dealt with before. Condit is a different animal and a more dangerous fight Are you really going to complain about Dana burying a talent, when Dana organised a press tour to PROMOTE that talent, and Diaz didnt show up at. REALLY?
Diaz isn't a coward. Outside of a cage, I think he'd fight 'em all, no matter the weight but when business is involved he is a moron. Press conferences aren't a beauty contest like he says. He just doesn't get it. Diaz was meant to be a gladiator in the Roman days, just turning up to thrash it out.
He is, he's a coward, he's scared of trying and failing so would rather come up with an excuse as to why others wont give him his opportunity This is Junie Browning syndrome, talk **** about how you'll fight anyone, brag boast and display ''tude'' When it comes down to walking the walk, do everything to **** it up before hand, so you got an excuse how no one wants you to succeed and everyone's against you because it's damn sight easier than have to face the facts you might fail Typical bully
