hatton v pac, haye v vitali, hopefully pbf v margo, and calzaghe v dawson, pav v abraham.plus kessler, jmm and froch looking for big fights too. lets hope these fights are as good as we think they will be and we will be in for a cracking year.
Don't forget Darchinyan Arce, Montiel-Donaire already made, Caballero-Marquez is on, Vazquez-Juanma, Wlad-Arreola/Povetkin a possibility, Abner Mares, Yuri Gamboa, Beibut Shumenov, Alexander Alexeev, Tavoris Cloud and Victor Ortiz for the world title and many grade A possibilities... I have the feeling that 2009 will be a damn good year, even better than the legendary 2007.
lets not get ahead of ourselves, as only 2 of those fights look like sure things right now. but, if the rest of those happen i'm going to be very happy with boxing in 09, thats for dam sure.
Hold your horses - the second one is not even signed! But this is one fight that has to happen again. I would love to see Kessler in another big fight. For me Kessler v Froch is a big fight, though it wouldn't come up on most people' radar. I'd like to see Calzaghe v Dawson - but it wont happen. I can't wait for Haye - Klitschko.
Hmmmm... I thought the upcoming 2009 schedule looked kinda' stinky to me..... "Cotto-Jennings" on PPV---What the hell??atsch MR.BILL
they did but Top Rank is going to do the PPV. $40 to see Pavilk and Cotto on the same card is not that bad, I would say.
Vs horrible competition, it's a ripoff. I'd rather pay $50 for a Bika-Andrade, Cesar Chavez Jr.-Duddy, Montiel-Munoz card than $40 for 2 huge names in serious mismatches.
Not gonna happen. If anything, he'll go for the $$ vs. the smaller man. Will be the first year in a while without a 1 million PPV buy. Some good fights, for sure, but could be an off-year business wise.
