Damn. Naming fighters who fought with broken hands, and not mentioning PBF fighting Castillo with a broken hand AND torn shoulder cuff? I thought you were a big Mayweather fan.

I also said Pavlik would TKO Jermain Taylor in 7, so here's what I'm saying on this...

Cotto is able to deal with quick fighters. He's done it against Zab Judah, Carlos Quintana, Paulie Malignaggi, and Shane Mosley.

He is able to cut off the ring, use his jab in a cerebral and effective fashion, and dig into the rib cage. He also throws in combination - if the first 3 don't land, the 4th or the 5th probably will. He would be able to get inside of Clottey.

Clottey's power isn't the same as Mosley or Judah. Cotto has also proven that he can take a welterweight shot and it seems as though his chin issues were a result of weight draining himself at 140. Clottey has brittle hands too, so he wouldn't commit fully and take Cotto out. Corrales @ 147 was not stopped by Clottey, so Cotto would not be either.

One thing I've noticed is that Clottey fights in spurts. He covers up in a high guard leaving his body exposed. A big no-no against a masterful body puncher like Cotto. Cotto would be right on-top of him.

Clottey is a good fighter, but he wouldn't beat Miguel Cotto. He would be systematically broken down.

Right, you pick that fight because of Spinks style and that's the same reason I'm picking Clottey to beat Cotto.

My bad. Thank you for your honesty in adniting that.

PBF has alot of heart, and I think Clottley should have sucked it up like PBF did against Castillo when he had his title shot.

Do you think the next logical step for Cotto is a fight with Mayweather, or does he need a tuneup?

Look at Clottey's fight with Gutierrez. He wasn't exactly a world-beater against Felix Flores either.

I think he DESERVES a shot at Mayweather right now, but I wouldn't mind a tune-up to be honest. A fight against his mandatory, which will determined soon with the fight between Frederic Klose and Yuriy Nuzhnenko, should be a sufficient tune-up. Clottey would be a good one too.

I'll give you that - every has bad nights. But which fight did he look like Zab Judah? And by saying he looked like Zab Judah means what exactly?

I wish I had 1 dollar for everytime someone on this website predicted a Cotto loss, in his last few fights.

People keep picking him to lose, and he keeps winning.

Clottey will be a tough fight for Cotto, high risk/low reward, but I'm confident Cotto will beat him.

If not, I will bow to your genius. Even though I think you're just a hater.
