    he lost a fight to an undefeated fighter....holy **** he was OVERRATED...any true champ would never lose!!!!!!!!!!

    I agree...blade is a HATER...never does he root for someone he just hates on PBF and any other fighter using the ciche lines of OVERRATED, glass jaws ....blah blah blah...hater

    Yeah, I could see if Scar, Thread Stealer, Big Reg or Pit started the thread lol...I might've given credence to it lol... But Scatterbrain started the thread right after I exlaxed on him lol... A bunch of Pac fans voting me as the dumbest poster when you really voted me as the most hated Pac hater is comical, and I'm touched lol... To me that is like Gary Coleman today saying he could knock Wlad Klitschko out. Nobody cares...

    I think many in this thread have gotten confused...Fleaman isn't trying to say that Linares is terrible, or that he won't come back to be a good fighter (who knows, maybe even top 10 P4P).

    But those that were calling him the next Arguello (and there were def a few that were) have got to be feeling pretty foolish today!! People's blind favouritism before a fighter has achieved a great deal is what turns people against them.

    I like Donaire, and I can honestly see him being a top 3 P4Per in the next 3 years....but I admit he's got some deficiencies and I'm not calling him the next Pac-Man, he still has lots to prove.

    Mattmattmatt, you seem like a nice guy. I apologise for being high and mighty, it was uncalled for. I've never said Linares was a K.O waiting to happen or anything, just said that Linares lacknof decent opposition meant the pedestal he was being placed on was on totally unfounded qualities. The amount of **** I've had chucked at me whilst trying to discuss boxing means this thread is a welcome and carthartic exercise. I can undertand if people think it's a waste of thread space, but the general does have a lot of guff on it.

    you've got it spot in mate. This is not a thread bashing any fighter, my deep delvings intobthe sport leaves me with a huge respect for anyone that steps in the ring. This is a thread designed to show the nuthuggers that it's not good to talk ****, especially if you don't have the knowledge to back it up (see:hozumis hook) and always good to see both positives and negatives in a fighter before making outlandish claims such as 'future p4per'. One of the main thins to take into account is 'level of opposition'.

    Taking it personal what a posters says about their favorite fighter, and rubbing it in their face when they lose is childish. You, Blade and Flea had to hear it when Pac lost to EM until he got revenge. You had to hear it when Pac was undefeated and lost, and you had to hear it when PAc lost his second fight before he moved to 122.

    It was ridiculous to read Paul Williams was overrated when he lost to Quintana. It was ridiculous to say JT was overrated when he lost to Pav. Call a fighter overrated when he is up and coming. Linares was not overrated. He got stopped by another undefeated fighter that you probably knew nothing about. There are over 5000 boxers fighting or trying to box, and you can't predict when a Mayorga, Baldomir, or a Salgado will pop up.

    How do you know that he ddn't have the knowledge? He talked about is favorite fighter like you did/do about Pac. Were you this talkative when your hero Dapidran lost two fights before he became what he was today? Were you talking big about Pac before he lost? did you even know Pac then? Fans are fans. You talking shite to a fan told you so-ing him is cheeks, and guesing what you think he knows because his fighter lost is pure ass, and so phony to me lol...
