Glad to hear it, reading this week the news about Miguel's change of trainers alarmed me i must say....

 

Now I'd have presumed Top Rank would have sold the international rights to this event, but as Fwanky has a fighter in the 'co-feature', does that mean the UK rights are his to sell to whoever he wants? i.e. Hennessy sold the Super 6 rights over here for a while, and Matchroom sold the Martinez v Barker rights. So I think he can give the card to Boxnation, meaning Sky/Premier/Primetime don't get a sniff.

So basically, has he sacrificed Murray to Rios just so he can get this card on Boxnation for free? Or am I looking farrrrrr too deep at this?

Sure, he's got a chance I guess, but the only reason ****** has sent him over is so that he can get this card on Boxnation. Frank obviously thinks Murray isn't going anywhere, otherwise he wouldn't have put him in with him.:roll:

I dunno, I just think that after their fight in July that ol' fish eyes would rather risk Murray losing than Mitchell.

Plus, how does he get his fighters world titles? They fight fringe contenders with higher rankings than they should have in eliminators and Intercontinental title fights until they become mandatory challengers for the world title. Then he wins the purse bid and sticks it in his fighters home town. He doesn't get them world titles by ushering them off to the States to be the 'opponent' for one of the p-4-p best punchers in boxing today.

 

Yeah, I agree with this. I looked at the comment "sacrificed" and I thought it was strange. I think most people would use that word too, but why? For whatever reason, fans these days seem to think that a loss is the worst thing that can happen to a fighter. Sure, Murray will probably lose but it could be the boost his career needs. Show him how much money he can make, let his appreciate the spectacle of such a huge card, have him be around superstars. There are more positives to be gained from losing on that card, than winning in Wigan against a no hoper. There are obviously negatives too, of course, and if he does lose, he may take it badly. It's a risk but I don't think it's a bad one to take.

 

Sacrificed because ****** isn't sending him over there to win, he is sending him over there so he can grab the TV rights as part of the deal.

If he pulls off the shock win, bonus, if he doesn't, so what? After the Mitchell defeat, Murray is a long way from winning a world title the traditional 'Fwanky' way so a defeat to Rios isn't going to change that drastically-unless he really does get mashed up, which I hope isn't the case, obviously.
