Looks like DeGale vs Carl Dilks on September 18th

possibly Rob. It's done the trick. Wrong way to have to get a fight IMO though

 

read what i said Rob, 'wrong way to have to get a fight'. if he had to do it, fair enough, but he shouldn't be in this position where to get a fight he has to call every ****er out on a boxing forum.

I think maybe the whole thing was best left by both fighters. But it's done now, and was a good read!

 

Dilks is painfully average. He'll get hammered.

 

Degale has looked DECENT against limited opposition. An average operator will give him the toughest night of his career to date.

 

DeGale has looked decent and has not lost a single round I'm aware of, he's never even been at a point where he's had to take his opponent remotely seriously hence why he messes around a fair bit.

I don't expect that to start with Dilks. He has nothing to worry about, no speed, no power, no real top notch skills.

 

It's a decent fight and step up, and one which DeGale should shine in.

 

I am not saying that Degale is an underdog in this fight, but this is the type of fight where we will learn about him in terms of where he is at in reality

 

I agree.

These are the fights that we ought to be seeing, pitting a reasonable domestic contender against the hyped Olympic champion.

DeGale has been sloppy in a lot of fights purely because he knew he had the opponents measure (barring the awful debut :-() - this is a low risk step up in class, hopefully over ten rounds.

 

All will be revealed soon enough i guess. Judgement to be reserved against both fighters until after on my part
