Over at the scene top rank has sent people over to denver and the tickets can go on sale early as weds....bob arum is not optimistic that the nyc comission will grant the fight come decision time tomorrow....at the moment margarito landed in nyc last nite (what ever happened meeting half way) and he is meeting with the doctors today...another agonizing wait tomorrow, this fight should be held in nyc where its sold the **** out

Margarito's gum shield will fly out of the ring in round 3 and rupture Kenny's cornea, which will then get fatally infected.

Phoenix is also in the running but I noticed there is a concert there on Friday Dec.3,which may eleiminate the prospect.I am hoping it's Phoenix-much nicer weather.

What concert? It could be that the demographics don't overlap at all, depending on what it is.

I mean, if it's Menudo opening for Ricky Martin then no ****ing deal...

    ...seriously? :?

It's still going to be on HBO PPV.

What does it matter to the rest of the world whether it's in NYC, or Denver, or ****ing Anchorage Alaska?

Unless you're there live at the venue, it shouldn't matter to you as a TV audience member where the hell it is. (except as Grill half-jokingly pointed out insomuch as things like altitude could play a role in unfairly handicapping one combatant)

Ahh. So it isn't a matter of "if that's the best they can do " after all - it doesn't actually matter to him whether it's Denver or anywhere else that isn't NYC. He's just bitter about it possibly not being there. :yep

Just say what you mean, folks! :good

Dang Denver is like 5000ft above sea level, that can affect Cotto a lot.
