The decision hasn't been made yet, as Margarito has yet to be examined. Denver is just another tentative back-up venue. It doesn't "look like Denver", or any other place besides MSG, yet.
The altitude will hurt Cotto BIG time, more so than Margarito. Margarito has been training at 10K feet altitude, so it will be a huge advantage there. Denver is 5300+ feet above sea level vs NYC at ~50 feet. That means that in theory there is 100% of the oxygen available vs ~83% at 5300+ feet. Ref: http://www.altitude.org/air_pressure.php If I remember back to my Army days, based on military physical training guidance it takes ~30 days to acclamatize to 3000+ feet elevation. It could be very dangerous for Cotto!
:think And Margo's been trying training at high altitude...Don't think its a big enough factor to affect the outcome though
Uncle Bob sure does love him some Tony Margarito!! After all Margarito is already training in high altitude in Mexico! :rofl Denver would favor Tony in a big way.
I got 3 ringside tickets for MSG and Im flying in from Germany. If it wasnt for that then I wouldnt care.:bart
If they still honor the tickets at the new site, why wouldn't you be able to just change your travel plans and go there? :huh If you're making a special US trip of it anyway... Are you in such desperate need of a Coney Island hot dog or something? :yep
Not as bad as you, but I'm flying from Cali to NYC for the weekend to see this fight...now they're gonna move it on my ass :verysad...just my ****ing luck
Actually to be honest I thought about going down to MSG for this myself...and might not have been willing to take a plane across the country (instead of a four hour bus) to follow through after they move it. :think I can see why people are disgruntled, yeah,
is not only the fight tickets....plane tickets and hotel reservation is what we are all worried about
Deployed for a year to Iraq, then I was immediately relocated to Germany. My family lives in philly and I havent seen them in almost 2 years.
There's a lot of us in this waggon man, It was bad enough what the NYSAC put us through last friday now we get to do it all over again tomorrow. I hope they rule in favor of giving him a license on the grounds that their decission wont stop the fight.:-(
