In agreement with most here that Brook's final Swan song should have been Khan. The Khan fight was a long time coming for Brook, and considering he wanted it so badly for years and then finally got it, even though both were well pass their SBD. The Khan fight for Brook then was the perfect 'last hurrah' along with the beating he so much wanted to inflict and did put on Khan. Fairy tale career ending I spose. You couldn't get a better note to go out on. If this fight does take place, as much as I think Brook really shouldn't take it, with wishful thinking on my part I really hope it becomes a boxing banana skin of record biblical proportion's for Jnr. I've never liked Jnr or ever likely too. If Brook were to beat Jnr it wouldn't just make my day, it would make my year.
Jones was in the top 10 of the same division when Calzaghe fought him (#6 I believe) Brook isn't in the same division or to my knowledge rated in the top 10 of the divisions he is fighting within Tough fight for Brook I can't really understand the fights Eubank jnr is going after if this fight is really being made. I felt Eubank was chasing the Williams fight when he (Williams) was coming off a clear loss
CEJ blames Brook for ''stealing his fight with GGG from him'' which translates to stepping in after CEJ lost both his pen and his plums. Hopefully this shot shell of Brook can somehow manage to pull a rabbit out of the hat
Yeah, his revisionist history surrounding why Kell ended up in the ring with GGG instead of Chris 'English' Eubank-Jones Jnr/Snr (boxing impressionist: will do birthdays, weddings and bar mitzvahs but not world title fights) is astounding...
Good fight. If Eubank wins it's a totally legit win against a prime, elite opponent. That's what Brook fans said about the Khan fight so the same rules apply.
I think Kell is the better fighter but he's just too small. I understand the cash out aspect of this fight but I seem to think Brook could have gotten a opponent better suited to his size and age at this point in his career . Something at 154 would have been far better.
I'm surprised Eubanks Jr v Chavez Jr has not happened already. Battle of the Disappointing *******s...
Literally no-one described Khan as a 'prime, elite opponent' when he fought Brook. Most people rightly said Khan was shot to bits, so yeah... same rules apply....
Is Brook that hard up for cash or is he that desperate to stay relevant ? This will be a very hard sell in my opinion. Eubank isn’t the greatest fighter but Brook is easy to hit and has been hurt by smaller fighters.
