At his age he has no margin for error given the debt he probably just got saddled with. I hope he does well. Anything to NOT see that Brushing Boner Bull.

Broner does not have no where near the skills to beat Gamboa, Broner has problems with
C level fighters and some of you think he's going to beat Gamboa who is an A level fighter, make me ****ing laugh.

agreed!!! these are my 2 favorite fighters and I'd hate to see Broner get written off cause of an early career loss to a far more experienced elite level fighter. if this fight gets made broner deserves mad credit for taking it when he really doesn't need to at this point in his career. A year and half down the road after Broner has established himself as elite and gotten some more experience and gamboa has come back from his hiatus with a few impressive wins this fight would be huge! They'd both be top 10 p4p guys (gamboa top 5) and Broner would have enough top level experience to get him as ready as he'll ever be for a beast like Yuri. Right now Yuri wins by 8-4 type decision but gets knocked down in the process......can't write off Broner though cause a guy like Broner with his size and power can definetly crack Gamboas chin so he'll have a very good punchers chance even now imo.

Broner called himself an elite fighter at 130lbs, but does seem a little big for Gamboa. Would love to see it happen nonetheless

I won't quote anyone's post but let me just clear the issue about Broner vs Ponce fight.. :smoke

Broner won over Ponce.. Ponce was just hitting the arms, and the elbows of Broner for most part of the fight.. While Broner on the other hand lands more cleaner punches.. Broner was in control of that fight, and that wasn't a robbery..

I repeat,.. Broner was definitely landing cleaner shots..

    In connection with the OP..

In terms of speed, I would say that Gamboa has the advantage but not too much.. Broner would use his jabs and right straights effectively.. I remember Gamboa had problems about the left jabs of Solis with at least 1 or 2 rounds.. And that jab wasn't fast, and wasn't powerful..

Gamboa also becomes tentative against fighters that would counter punch.. Look back at his fight with Ponce.. Ponce was trying to counter, too bad he can't because he isn't the type of boxer to execute that kind of game-plan..

Although Gamboa won both fights convincingly, I just thought that his weaknesses was exposed.. You just need the right boxer to execute the right game-plan..

Now you put Broner there with better out-boxing game, definitely more power and accurate counter-punching combined with feints.. Plus the fast feet to keep Gamboa on a distance and the defense in case Gamboa comes close (most of the time Gamboa will)..

And you add there, does Gamboa has a solid chin to withstand Broner's counter punch?

I think, Broner wins.. Either by UD or KO.. :smoke

thank u. ive responded with almost the same comment about the Broner-PDL match up hella times and didnt feel like saying the same **** over and over in this thread. bottom line is Broner did enough, and he'd damn sure whoop his ass if they rematched

I cant call it either but I would lean towards Broner due to his size. But either way one of them would get knocked out

only way Gamboa overcomes the g-ness is to go balls out on the old school kid-n-play tito trinidad haircut. the only way i tell you!! :deal if he turns back the clock, then he cleans broner's clock.
