1 - I know he isn't stepping aside but if they mandated 30 days to reach an agreement and the fight has to take place 90 days after that which is standard in such cases that means the fight doesn't have to happen until mid Sept meaning he could still do a voluntary against Geale July 19th as planned then knock this bum out after. 2 - Are the ******ed? Golovkin made 350K when he fought Macklin IIRC and these bribing Aussie scumbags think they're getting half a million smh
Like I said GGG-Geale will be happening July 26 at MSG!! Im hella pumped!! Will be signed by next week, press conference June 5th!
And Scene just posted it might be Chavez-Golovkin on Sept. 13th aswell, in LA. Arum wants to go head to head with Mayweather, or atleast force Mayweather off the date.
JMM-Bradley was going to be in the shadow of Alvarez-Mayweather, a freaking blockbuster. He just did under 900k buys for Maidana, they don't want back to back disappointments. A Mayweather ppv is an expense heavy promotion, one that needs another big name opponent to make it viable to sell to main stream. Two names that would make Mayweather's Sept ppv insurmountable are Alvarez and Cotto, and neither would be ready/available for that date. We know it won't be Pac either, nor Martinez. GB/Showtime know they can't keep incurring losses on his ppv and risk doing so with another Madaina rematch or Porter, Thurman or maybe even Danny Garcia (who say's he's not ready for WW) and that's without any other fight competition that night. Chavez-Golovkin don't have to beat a Mayweather ppv in buys to cause massive damage to the event and Arum knows this.
And people say the Cold war is coming to an end That would certify the Cold war for the next 5 years if Arum tried to pull that crap.
Very possible if WBA does not grant exemption I would think. It is not hard to imagine Team GGG tossing WBA belt in the garbage and just going to 168 and 7-figure PPV fights with Chavez, and UK/Europe fights with Froch/Groves/Kessler which would also pay 7 figures. I know they really want to fight in July... but really if it comes down to 7 figure PPV date in Sept vs getting universally panned for fighting Fletcher, its not hard to do the math.
War with Schaefer/Haymon isnt going to end anyhow. I mean Haymon just sunk a July PPV with JR. Cold war only ends, and only partially if Oscar regains control of most of his stable.
Quillin just ran away from Golovkin, but there is a good chance that Golovkin will fight Geale next, we will see.
