Hopefully this fight does get made for April 26. I remember when Curtis Stevens was calling Golovkin out, at first Loeffler dismissed him as unproven, but the hype built up and they took the fight. I think this is a great fight, people say look at how Angulo got to Lara, but look how Lara responded! After each knock down he got back up and fought harder and stopped Angulo.

The 2nd best at MW vs the 2nd best at JMW, good clash of styles, two very cerebral fighters with tons of focus and strong skills. Golovkin's power vs Lara's speed. I'll feel sick to my stomach if we get Andy Lee instead of this.

Is Lara going to need a 12 week camp...11 weeks before fight time?
HBO isn't going to break the "cold war" **** for Erislandy Lara.
Lara should have spoke up and call for a fight that could actually be made, like the Monte Carlo fight.

Lara needs money. He has bigtime party expenses. After all, coke and high price whores do not come cheap. Most of these Cuban fighters would rather party like rockstars than train while their families suffer in Cuba.

HBO already did when they televised Lara-Matirosyn. GB just can't be the lead promoter. As for Lara, he stays in shape, always training.

Golovkin vs Lara isn't going to purse bids though.
If Lara is serious about wanting the fight, he will get himself into the mandatory position for the WBA MW title or he'll get the WBO or IBF and try to unify.
I guess it's easier to talk on twitter and hope that HBO/GBP work something out.
Being that Lara is from a Communist country, he should be familiar with the term "Cold War".

It's funny to me how we didn't hear anything from Lara when GGG was looking for an opponent for his last fight.
Now that it looks like Golovkin is fighting Andy Lee in April, 11 weeks before the fight, Lara starts talking.

I'm really not understanding why GGG doesn't want to step up the quality of fighters...they're not interested in "Lara" but make plans to fight "Lee". Too many excuses coming out of this guys corner for me but whatever....i'm sure a few of you guys will justify his management or teams reasoning for this.

So sick of these douche bage on twotter{sic} talking their crap and spinning agenda's so the weak minded little sheep can lick it all up. Only an idiot would take serious what the guy who runs Lara's twotter{sic} had to say.

All these social media dummies. Better go check it, Tyson Fury shoud be waking up in a few hours. I bet he will have something transcendant to say.

Freakin' Andrade looked much better against Vanes than Lara.

Do you understand that Felix Sturm avoided Golovkin for 2 years while GGG was the WBA mandatory? Sturm paid $100K to be elevated to "Super Champ" rather than defend his belt.
Do you understand that Hassan N'Dam dropped the WBA Interim belt and skipped purse bids rather than fight GGG?
Do you understand that Daniel Geale dropped the WBA belt and has declined other offers for various reasons?
Do you understand that Martin Murray is still GGG's mandatory and(his team?) has declined that fight?
Do you understand that Proksa was a late replacement because Dmitry Pirog has a disc injury in his back?(Pirog hasn't fought since Spring 2012)
Do you understand why Rosado was picked over Fernando Guerrero to fight GGG in NY with other Puerto Ricans on that card?
Do you understand why they fought Brooklyn, NY's Curtis Stevens...in NY?
Do you understand that Adama was an IBO title defense?
Do you understand that Irish or even "Irish" fighters sell tickets in NY?
Do you understand that HBO owns the broadcasting rights for GGG's fights in the US?
Do you understand that Erislandy Lara is promoted by Golden Boy and that Golden Boy fighters don't fight on HBO under normal circumstances for the time being?
Do you understand that Erislandy Lara has the WBA JMW Interim belt and isn't the WBA mandatory at MW?
Do you understand why it is unlikely that HBO lets Lara fight on their network and that's exactly why Lara talks about this fight like it's a realistic possibility?

HBO gave Tom Loeffler a list of names for GGG to fight. Abel Sanchez approved every name on that list. If Lara's name wasn't on that list, then tough titty.
If Lara really wants to fight GGG, then he has 3 options:
    1. Become the WBA mandatory @160lbs (purse bids or GGG vacates)
    2. Bring another MW title for unification and hope HBO makes an exception
    3. Talk **** on twitter and hope HBO makes an exception

IMO, #1 seems the most effective, #2 is still a longshot and #3 is the easiest. I think he'll stick with #3.
If your response is something like "TLDR" then I understand completely.:hey

Lara is one ballsy mofo. But then again cubans never feared anyone, unlike certain others.

GGG is ducking Lara about as much as Mayweather is ducking GGG. That is to say, not at all. You're a moron.
