As an example, just a few days ago I was trying to convince a casual fan that Mayweather could never have beaten Muhammad Ali at any stage of his fighting career. Lol.

That's a terrible fight, Eubank Jr is a bum and completely overmatched. I like GGG but this fight is unnecessary.

 

If you think this is a meh fight what did you make of Golovkins last 35?

 

You have to accept that not everyone considers Golovkin some kind of invincible killing machine because he beat guys like Martin Murray and Lemieux. Some people actually wanna see him in with some top level opposition before making ridiculous claims about his abilities.

Its pretty simple. Golovkin is yet to face a top level opponent, or someone who is a legit threat. Murray is his best win, this is a guy who's lost every time he's stepped up and gone life and death with Sergey Khomitsky twice. Eubank is a big step up from the mediocre competition GGGs been feasting on.

 

I haven't seen much of Eubank Jr., except against BJS. I am more impressed with BJS skillset. But, maybe GGG will get 2 for the price of 1...starting with Eubank Jr.
