Not necessarily to is fault but is handlers should know it is time to move up in competition big time. He must look at True stars at 160-175 and even 154. Names? Andre Ward, Floyd at a catch weight of say 156., Miguel Cotto, Saul Alvarez, Adonis Stevenson at a catch weight,
Even Maybe Manny Pacquio, Bernard Hopkins and more. He has no one except Cotto and maybe Peter Quillen that he should fight at middleweight and then look to "step it up"

OP forgot to mention that of solimans losses include MASSIVE ROBBERIES to PRIME WINKY WRIGHT....PRIME HOWARD EASTMAN, among others.

he was stopped vs Mundine yes, in a fight he had to lose 5 lbs the day OF......and other than that single drainage KO, he's iron chinned.

Not even Golovkin will KO him in less than a dime.

And let's not forget, he makes EVERY fighter look very bad. :yep

B/C - level opponent, BUT he has a belt, more pulling power when it comes to big name fights.

 

I wouldn't really consider it a weak division with fighters like Cotto, Alvarez, Lara(possibly moving up all the way), Murray and Quillin in the division.

 

There have been talks with Golovkin/Soliman for unification fight, so I expect that fight to happen................

 

Winky Wright fight was in 2005 before Golovkin made his pro debut and the Eastman fight was before that, not sure how much relevance those performances have in 2014.

 

Sadly, Soliman is probably one of the 5 best MW's to fight out there for GGG... I guess if I had to prioritize which fights at MW I'd like to see in terms of meaning for Golovkin, I'd go:
Cotto (MW lineal champ)
Alvarez (I only list because, technically, his last two fights have been at MW)
Quillin (undefeated MW titlist)
Sergio (one fight removed from former MW lineal champ)
Soliman (MW titlist)
Murray (just overall the next best/meaningful contender)

And only the bottom 2, Soliman and Murray, seem to have expressed desire to fight Golovkin, dont you agree?

Also if N'Dam (who avoided mandatory Golovkin like plague for a year) beats Stevens he could be a possible choice down the road again.

 

I doubt Martin Murray wants any part of Golovkin.
It seemed like Murray had no idea what was going on with his career before he changed promoters, but his mandatory shot at the WBA was there for awhile. Never heard much from him about that.
He was all over twitter a week ago talking about how he is the WBC mandatory now.
I'd like to see it though, if it gets made.
