thats true. Strange if HBO are going with this fight, usually they would insist on someone with a certain level of 'face' or a story

I rate Guerrero, but not at fizzucking welterweight. A rematch with Ortiz under the stipulation that he beats Berto would even be better than this. No doubt The Ghost will find himself a new weight class after the fight.

Guerrero's got a sellable story. That thing with his wife and all. Perfect recipe for a good guy vs bad guy theme. The casuals will fall for it easily.

  6. For which fight?

Certainly not any of his last two. Nor for the DLH fight either, when he weighed in at 150.

    :yep

They will probably bend for the inevitable 1m+ PPV buys that Floyd will bring. It's all about profit after all :-(

This is the problem, most people are thick as **** when it comes to things like this.

They let Murdoch control what they read, Cowell control what they listen to..... etc etc.

Only a Floyd fan would seriously claim that. Throwing up unfounded accusations and barriers is not trying to make the fight. Floyd has never wanted this fight. As soon as pac conceded any.testing Floyd and co changed the terms.

Joke fight but what you come to expect from Mayweather now, he doesn't challenge himself one bit and always lets the fans down

Floyd keeps coming up with new ways to lower people's opinion of him, and people keep finding ways to be surprised. He's beneath contempt, and I think he likes it down there.

Cotto is small at the weight and has said he can still make 147. Plus he's a beltholder and certainly better and more proven than ortiz or guerrero.

A fight with Cotto would generate more money and interest than the ones he's made. How can you defend him?

Martinez is the recognised champ at 160 but is not that much bigger. It's like Leonard fighting Hagler, only neither fighter would be anywhere as good.

but leonard began his career as a welter, floyd as a feather

I actually thought he would take the cotto fight this time.

People shouldnt take floyd too serious anyway. hes like a all star 5 a side football tournament, he gets your attention once a year, dazzles with some nice moves then bails again. I wont lose too much sleep over who hes fighting - history will judge his career post 2005 for what it is. If he fights il watch him out of curiosity but im not gona get bogged down in the p4p and atg debates over at the general forum.

Awful fight. If he really wanted to fight Pacquiao, all he has to do is publicly make that clear. And likewise for Manny Pacquiao.

I hope there's a massive boycott for this and any future fight involving them that isn't Pac v Floyd.
