http://www.boxingnews24.com/2017/11/parkers-promoter-says-joshuas-side-willing-move-split/amp/ David says negotiations are still ongoing and Willing to accept less than 60/40 to get Joshua fight. Hearn's is also willing to move on the split. After reading this I think Joshua vs Parker his very highly likely to be Joshua's next fight. It is not the fight I was hoping for next, but one of the two anyway. What do you think?
It's a great fight and will solidify the winner as #1 guy in the division and a unified WBA/WBO/IBF champion. People forget these guys are 'young' for a HW division, 28 and 25, they can fight again down the road. A loss in your 20's is not the end of the world.
Yeah they are young enough to come again, neither are probably prime right now to be honest. Joshua has been showing improvements with each fight and Parker is still young and would improve a ton with a better trainer. Whoever loses will have options. Joshua will still likely be the biggest draw in the division even after a loss, fans didn't abandon Bruno, no matter how many times he lost. Look at Froch, all his biggest paydays were after his loss to Ward. Parker will have a harder time. But a few wins and you could see him challenge for the WBA regular belt or whatever belt is available. Even if we get an undisputed champion, I don't expect it to last for long before the titles get split for one reason or another. And if the Joshua/Parker is close then Parkers stock would rise hugely even if he loses. This won't be the end for either of them.
I don't want Joshua/Parker to keep on taking these tough fights while Wilder gets to coast. Itd be a shame to have a true champion that's battle worn lose to Wilder because he hasn't been in against the toughest competition. Joshua and Parker deserve a round of applause. **** you Wilder you're a paper champion
Great fight! Parker has earned his shot at the number 1 guy and deserves to get a big payday. Hope this fight materializes.
