Looks like Kessler has no interest in fighting Bute

Well, if you want to use other words, it's up to you. Avoiding?. Preferring someone else less dangerous? Wanting another tune up before facing him?

You can choose the word you want, as long as it means that Kessler's camp doesn't want to face Bute next, even if Bute and Showtime wants the fight.

Yeah but in the end it would not really matter for Kessler if he gets the first shot or not... A fight between Bute and the Super six winner would only mean that the winner vs. Kessler would be a fight for all the titles and being undisputed champion at SMW.

So by your reasoning: If Butes team dont accept a counteroffer from Saurland to fight Kessler in Denmark, Bute is clearly ducking Kessler? Good to know!

I thought he wanted to face Ward again. Are you saying he wants the easiest way to get all the belts? Facing Stieglitz and then have a shot at the 3 other ones?

He may not have the second spot neither, you know. If Bute faces the super 6 winner, the winner won't have to face Kessler if they don't care about the WBO strap.

Kessler had a sure shot at Bute's title and a shot at the super 6 winner.
If he needs another tune up, well, just say it and stop the rumors on the contract supposedly too low and all that bull****.

Your wrong bute is very accurate puncher, its very seldom that you see him wast punches. Second his body is nothing short of first class, he goes to the body so smoothly that its hardly noticed. Kessler on the other hand is a take some to get some fighter and against a fighter like bute who can counter, lead and body punch along with his hand speed.. The Dame fighter's take some to get some style, will only get him ****ed up fo show.

I am saying a fight against the Super six winner, or a fight for being the undisputed champion at SMW would be both equally good. So Kessler has a lot of options. It is not that big of a deal if he fights Stieglitz or Bute when it comes to future fights.

I understand your frustration for Butes position!

If the money is good and Showtime accepts to air the fight even if it's Europe, I'll say that his team is ducking. I know why they would do it, they have ben stolen by Sauerland before and may not want to be stolen again. That would still be ducking for me.

For the moment, Kessler's fans take Sauerland word like if he was the prophet. No one knows the offer made by Interbox. It may have been a good one. And no one really knows if he'll really make an offer to Bute's camp.

All his actions point in another direction: Stieglitz. What comes out of his mouth seems to be bull****, like his father before.

Worst case scenario for the SMW division would be if Ward beat Froch (which I think he will), because then SMW are back at the stalemate we had back in the Calzaghe/Ottke days, with 2 champions (Ward and Bute:p) that WILL NEVER leave their comfort zone to fight the other.

Laffie, 500K $ is pettycash. The gate in Denmark alone will bring around 4 mill. $. TV-right for Denmark alone is worth at least 2 mill. $. Depends on whether it will be PPV or free tv. PPV higher, but free tv will get the same amount for Germany. Then there are the tv-rights for the rest of the world. The income for the fight will be somewhere around 8 mill. $. A fighter like Stieglitz would get somewhere around one mill. $. Sauerland will sell the gate to the venue, but there will be a high profit. That means a lot of money to Kessler/Sauerland. I would say around 5 mill. $.

    Can Interbox top that?

When Bute fights he attracts a huge gate no matter who he fights. Tv-rights in Europe don't have the same value, when it is late at night. A fight with Kessler is not a fight against an "opponent". Sauerland/Kessler would want at least half the income.

When Kessler fought Calzaghe Palle/Kessler made a total of 8.3 mill. $. Frank W@rren got a deficit of 500.000 £. What Calzaghe made on the fight, was never revealed, as far as I know.

Interbox won't get more money on this fight, than Sauerland/Kessler. So Interbox should make twice the normal amount to have an economic interest. And they should expect to make more money after a win. I doubt that they will. Pavlik is an obvious opponent. The fight will be great on US tv. The same with Ward.

WBO has just stated that Stieglitz and Saurland has a couple of weeks to come to an agreement if not the fight goes to purse bids. The fight would be in september or october.

So it seems that the Bute fight is officially dead

I hoped we would see Bute in Copenhagen!

Kessler's resume shits all over bute's and I respect both fighters

So for some trainer and promoter to say about a man who came back from a serious injury he might have changed his mind and taken a slighly longer and easier route to bute then nothing wrong with it! These punks should stfu

Exactly! Bute, while a skillful looking fighter doesn't have a strong resume, and should only be ranked 4th in the division. Kessler has the right to choose whatever is the best route for him. He has taken on a lot of big fights, including fighting away from home. If the Bute camp want to start moaning, maybe they should have got their fighter into the Super Six in the first place. However, Mikkel said he could fight by September so if the Stieglitz fight is made for then, perhaps Bute and Kessler can face of in December/January and the winner face the super six champion. It would be great to get a unified champion!

What happened to Sauerland 's counter offer to Interbox? If we don't hear anything about that, it is save to say Kessler ducked Bute

no, not really: Kessler said many time during Bute-Magee he'll fight Bute , he said : "i always said it , he's a great fighter" then goes and say he's Showtime's hype. If Sauerland don't offer Bute a fight in Danmark and better money then Canada then he is ducking; at least for now.
