As I've said, if it's mandatory then it should be made. I struggle to come to terms with how it can be mandatory but the fight not be made and Khan keeps the belt. Somewhere, something doesnt sit right with me. Whether that's GBP's doing, the WBA's doing or the journo's doing, I dont know. But if he is mandatory, then the fight should be made. The flack for the fight not happening, if people really are wanting it that much, should be levelled at the WBA in the first instance for not enforcing their mandatories. If they did and Khan vacated then yeah, I'd be screaming at Khan and his camp for doing so (unless he did it to fight Bradley or Alexander and only them).
Why?, on what basis? I just wish that Maidana would man up and take his responsibilities as mando challenger seriously....grow a set Marcos :deal
why fight a guy who lost to your mandatory? When u can just fight your mandatory. Im sick of people trying to deny the fact that Khan is being protected from maidana. You cant not fight a guy on the basis that you would easily box circles around him, and then instead fight a guy who lost to that guy! If khan is so good he should handle anything. Dont fight ortiz when you can fight maidnana
On the basis that maidana has been the number 1 challenger for 2 ****ing years nearly and khan is suppose to fight him. are u thick or wat *****?
What you dick brained idiots don't ****ing understand is that if Maidana truly wanted the fight he could force his position as mando and demand that Khan fight or vacate...he hasn't done so, therefore the only conclusion that I can come to is that Maidana doesn't want a piece of Khan. Easy enough for you to follow **** for brains? :thumbsup **As for the two years statement, bull****...other than that good post Goober
In house fight that don't mean **** at the moment. Khan vs Maidana, Bradley or Alexander in December thanks. Given that it looks like Bradley and Alexander are fighting in January then it should be Maidana in December. Maidana is the same guy who beat Ortiz!!! Khan needs to be stripped if he fights Ortiz. It makes a mockery of his belt.
Khan would humiliate both in my opinion. Ortiz is like Khan, only slower, less explosive and less skilled. Maidanda is a a pretty slow one dimensional slugger who Khan would just pick off and stop in the middle rounds without much trouble.
I have no problem with this. I'm not all that convinced that Khan would easily beat Ortiz. People always say Khan is skillfull, but IMO he hasn't proved this. He's athletic, with good physical attributes but not neccesarilly skillfull.
I cant help but think that people are still thinking of Khan as the young pug who was floored by Limond and Gomez. Khan hasnt fought a prime, elite opponent yet but he has improved no end since those fights. Yes, we havent seen him get hit flush by a puncher since the Prescott fight, but we have seen massive improvements in his ability. Since he's gone up in weight, we havent seen whether he can take a dig or not. Remember Cotto looking shaky at LWW before looking like a rock at WW? I'm not comparing Cotto and Khan for a second, one has an impressive resume the other, simply, does not. But Khan now isnt the same fighter that fought Limond or Gomez. Even if you dont like the kid, you have to say that his boxing has massively improved. For me, it's certainly improved enough to box his way around contenders like Maidana. He's not (yet) at the level of Bradley mind.
