We can't be sure, because Ortiz has a better punch Resistance than (Wilder or Joshua), he lacks fast twitch speed, but has brute force at mid range & great timing. So he can KO Wilder or Joshua if he catches them clean & goes for the kill.

    The Odds in my opinion:
    50% Wilder by Decision
    35% Wilder by KO
    15% King Kong by KO

This fight is a short term relief for Anthony Joshua, eliminating one of the KO artists who are favored to Stop him, but the winner of the fight is no longer the B side...in any future fight vs Joshua (so they can use $ to duck the fight & prolong Joshua reign)

I think Ortiz is so over rated, especially on this forum...i know people love to hate Wilder but respect to him for taking this fight...Wilder will either win by UD or by late KO...and once Joshua has blasted pass Parker we should finally get the fight everyone wants...Joshua Vs Wilder

42 years old with high blood pressure -- i.e. a typical Wilder opponent.

So freaking sad that this is what passes for exciting HW news in this day and age.

There should be nothing whatsoever exciting about Ortiz getting a title shot. In any other era he is unremarkable and lucky to scratch top 15.

Don't get your hopes up AJ dickriders that are so hoping to see Wilder derailed, Wilder will K the ever living F out of King Kong. Which is a pity, because I like Ortiz, but stylistically, he's not the man to rid AJ of his Bronze Bomber Problem.

Then he and fellow Wilder leftover Duhaupas can have an epic "Battle of the Slowest Tortoise Ass Mother ****ers Ever to (Dis)Grace the HW Division With Their Molasses Laden Corpulence".

Oh damn, yeah. Duhaupas vs. Browne could be the co-main event for the "Slow Ass MF Silver title"

Wilder loses eventually to one of his carefully selected Bum opponents. Father Time and his awful technique will see to that.

Or on the other side, he could retire with a resume as weak as Brian Nielsen amassed when he went 49-0 as a HW on the B circuit. Then he gets discounted as a B level bum who held a belt hostage. People will ask what his best wins were and they will say that Rastafian Drug dealer who he iced in 1 round back in 2017.

The truth will come out about Wilder.
And on topic , I still don’t think he faces Ortiz. I think Ortiz even at 42 poses too big a risk for the Chicken squad.

In the end, Wilder will fight Arreola for the second time.
