Looks like Kovalev vs Pascal 2 will happen

Like most I just don't see any point in a Pascal rematch. If Pascal had put together a couple wins first then maybe but he's had one fight since and a lot of people thought he lost that one.

I'd have much preferred a new opponent for Kovalev but it seems were getting a rematch few want.

 

Duva tried to get a fight with Beterbiev in Moscow, but Beterbiev would not fight him. Duva has been tryiong to get a fight with SOB Ward, but Ward claims he needs several tune-up fights. A rematch with Pascal will be OK or even a fight with Fonfara. Kovalev will knock Pascal or Fonfara out, although Fonfara is improving, it exciting, it would not last very long..........................Stevenson simply will not come near Kovalev.......................Stevenson offered Ward a fight at 175 or even at 168, but Ward refused.......................

They are making this too easy for Ward. You would think, he would have to fight Pascal to get to Kovalev. These guys shouldn't be having a box off...Pascal had some moments against Kovalev, but, the loss was clear. Pascal needs to be rematch Gonzalez. Kovalev needs to fight Stevenson.

 

Maybe Pascal had a rematch clause.

I think it's purely a money move. I'd love to see Kov in US against Barrera, Gonzalez or Monaghan but Pascal in Quebec still brings them the most money I think :think

Chilemba got a title eliminator and if he wins will face Stevenson next so he's definitely out of the mix for Sergey.

 

Pascal would be better off chasing Superpimp than pursuing a Kovalev rematch

 

Superpimp made it clear he won't fight Pascal unless he's mandated to do so Beterbiev-Pascal or Ward-Pascal would be very good fights too.

 

Do maybe a Tommy Karpency rematch? Tommy was doing well until he got caught by a lucky punch :think
